Six Weeks 3: Interviewing

Six Weeks 4: Safety on the job andOSHA Certification

Six Weeks 6: Preparing for life after high school

Grading Policy:

Daily Work / 50% / Tests / 50%

Certifications:

In this course you will complete the OSHA certification. Upon completion of this 10 hour course you will receive a certification that states you are knowledgeable of safety procedures and code of conduct for all places of employment. No fee is necessary for this certification.

Homework Policy:

Should a student not complete an assignment during the allotted class time students are expected to complete the assignment on his or her own time. Homework is due the following class period unless otherwise stated.

Late Work:

Late work and work for unexcused absences will not receive a grade. If an assignment is not turned in by the assigned due date a zero (0) will be given for that assignment. Students are responsible for obtaining and completing their own make-up work. Assignment deadlines will be extended one class period for each class period missed. In extended leave situations accommodations can be made.

Cell Phones:

The use of cell phones in class is prohibited unless permission is given from the teacher. Students will be given 1 warning if engaged on their phone and the phone will be confiscated for the duration of the period. If cell phone use continues the phone will be confiscated and given to the assistant principal's office for further action to be taken. Parents will be contacted in all instances regarding cell phone misuse.

Classroom Rules:

  1. Be on time and be prepared. Be in your seat when the tardy bell rings and have all supplies readily available for use.
  1. Respect your classmates and your instructor. (Conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner.)
  1. Cells phones will be turned off and put away.
  1. Follow Burnet CISD’s Acceptable Use Policy and policies outlined in the student handbook. NO SHARING OF PASSWORDS OR WORK!!!!

Discipline Management Plan:

First Offense: Warning/Lunch Detention

Second Offense: Loss of Privileges /Lunch Detention

Third Offense:Referral
