Describe your carbon emissionreduction practices and procedures. List any qualifications and membership of any networks or organisations supporting your carbon emission reduction / carbon neutral journey.

Carbon Emissions Reduction / Carbon Neutrality

Provide a summary of your carbon emissions reductions. How are your activities helping to reduce carbon emissions from the City of Adelaide?

Tip: Information on your carbon emissions reduction and/or emissions intensities may be reported for any part or all of the period from 2007. Please highlight enduring carbon emissions reduction in addition to achievements via offsets. Where appropriate, quantify the energy, waste, water or resource savings or efficiencies achieved.

Outline the financial and other benefits to your organisation from the separation of carbon emissions from growth to your organisation.

Innovation

Describe the application ofyour innovation(s)that have resultedin carbon emissions reduction / emissions intensity reduction or increased uptake of sustainability initiatives.

Tip:Explain the function of your innovation(s) compared to existing practice; what risks were taken; outline the problem or barriers overcome; Explain how the innovation, if scaled or replicated, will aid emissions reduction.

Leadership and Influence

How are you recognised as a leader, or emerging leader, in yourcommunity or field of interest.

Tip:What reason started your journey and how are you leading?Who have you partnered with? Provide examples of how the accomplishment and journey is shared. Do you have third party acknowledgement of your achievement?

  • National Carbon Offset Standard (NCOS) certification.
  • Third-party verification and/or accreditation of carbon emissions reduction/carbon (or energy) intensities achieved.
  • Self-assessed calculations of energy, water, waste, resources or carbon emissions reduction achieved.
  • Evidence of qualifications, standards or memberships that support your carbon emissions reduction activities / carbon neutral journey.
  • Third party recognition of the uniqueness of innovative product or servicesand evidence of the innovation’s significance for carbon emissions reduction within the field of interest or more generally.
  • A link to video footage supporting your application that could be used for promotion of your achievements in association with Carbon Neutral Adelaide.
  • An audit report (pre- and post action) or other third party report
