Car Parking Policy
1.0Policy Statement
The Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of Victoria and Tasmania (the Synod) will provide parking or meet the costs of parking where it is necessary for the efficient performance of an employee’s duties.

This policy is intended to apply to all permanent employees at the UCA Victoria and Tasmania Synod.

2.0Policy in Practice
2.1Any employee who is entitled to a Synod vehicle will also be entitled to onsite or commercial parking.
2.2It is recognised that some staff who are not provided with a Synod vehicle may use their own vehicle for Synod business from time to time. Where this occurs and costs of parking are incurred, the Synod will reimburse staff for these costs.
2.3Where parking is provided on Synod sites:
- parking may only occur in designated parking areas ensuring that through ways and doorways are kept clear at all times;
- all parking of privately owned vehicles is at the owner’s risk.
2.4The Synod does not normally provide, nor meet the costs of parking for staff who do not require a vehicle to conduct Synod business.
