TENDER NOTICE

Sealed Quotations are invited from expert contractors registered with Income Tax Department for cleaning & de-silting of manholes & sewer lines of different diameters within the limits of Cantonment Board Clifton by mechanical and manual means. The interested contractors are required to submit their bids trough SINGLE STAGE TWO ENVELOPES procedure as outlined in rule 36 (b) of the PPRA Rules, 2004. Each envelope shall contain separately the TECHNICAL PROPOSAL & FINANCIAL PROPOSAL and shall be marked as such in bold and legible letters to avoid any confusion. The bid validity period shall be ninety (90) working days after the bid is received and opened.

A. SCOPE OF WORKS:

The contractor shall be responsible for the following works.

1. Cleaning inside sewerage lines and manholes and completely restoring original silt free space/diameter by employing mechanical/electrically driven equipment, including accessories like pulley’s steel rope buckets etc.

2. The job includes hiring cost of all equipment, accessories & labor.

3. Immediate removal of de-silted material from the site & its secured disposal beyond cantonment limits.

B. Evaluation criterion:

The evaluation committee of CBC shall first scrutinize the technical proposal based on evaluation criteria given in bid documents while retaining the financial proposal. The mandatory documents required are as mentioned as under. However, additional documents in support of your bid may also be provided along-with.

(a) Company profile with details of its establishment, relevant experience, HR & managerial capabilities required for the project.

(b) Past performance/experience of at-least similar nature of works.

C. Financial evaluation

Only short listed Technically sound parties/firms shall be called for opening of financial bid which shall be opened in the presence of parties/firms or their authorized representatives who wish to be present on the given date and time.

D. SUBMISSION OF TENDER:

1. Closing date for tenders to reach in the Office of Cantonment Board Clifton, CC-38, Street 10, Kh-e-Rahat, Phase-VI, DHA, Karachi is on 25.01.2018 at 11:30 Noon. and shall be opened on same day at 12:00 Noon in presence of contractors or their authorized representative who happen to be present at that time. The tender received late will not be entertained. This advertisement is also available on PPRA website at www.ppra.org.pk.

2. Conditional / posted / telegraphically dispatched tenders will not be accepted.

3. Only one tender should be included in one envelope. The outside of the envelope should be inscribed with Name of work and date of advertisement.

4. Tender documents can be obtained from the Office of the Cantonment Board Clifton, CC-38, Street 10, Kh-e-Rahat, Phase-VI, DHA, Karachi during the office hours on payment of Rs. 1000/- (Non Refundable) immediately after publication of this notice.

5. Tender shall be accompanied by security of Rs. 0.5 Million in the shape of Pay Order or bid bond in the name of Executive Officer, Cantonment Board Clifton, and will be attached with Technical bid.

6. Income tax shall be deducted as per policy in vogue.

7. The quoted rate in FINANCIAL PROPOSAL should be free from any cutting, erasing and overwriting etc.

8. All those bidders who are black listed by any Government Department are not eligible for the bidding.

9. For nay clarification please contact Senior Cantt Engineer/Chief Cantt Engineer at least 7 days before bid submission.

10. The lowest rates quoted in financial bid approved by the Board shall be valid for one year at least.
