Campus Sustainability Recognition Award

Nomination Form

The University of Winnipeg has established a recognition award for meritorious contributions by faculty, support staff and students to campus sustainability. To be consistent with principles of promoting sustainability, the award is conceived as primarily honorary in nature rather than material or incurring consumption of new resources. Two awards will be conferred each academic year, one to a member of university faculty or support staff, and one to a student.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Recipients must be a studentenrolled at The University of Winnipeg, a faculty member, or staff employee, or an organization of University of Winnipeg students, faculty or staff members;
  • Recipients must have made significant contributions to promoting the environmental, social and/or economic sustainability of The University of Winnipeg either over his or her entire career with the university, or specifically during the past academic year;
  • The recipient cannot be a manager or employee of the Campus Sustainability Office or a member of the Campus Sustainability Recognition Awards Committee.

Nominators should arrange for the delivery to the Campus Sustainability Office, of one letter of recommendation supporting this nomination from an independent third party by the nomination deadline.
