British Gymnastics Physical Education Teachers Trampoline Award - Levels 1 and 2

Audience / KS3/4 – Secondary PE Staff
Description / This course includes setting up and dismantling of trampolines, code of practice, all basic shapes and twists, combination skills and routine work.
All delegates must be qualified teachers of physical education, in their third or fourth year of teacher training, a PGCE student, Schools Direct Trainee, or an Overseas Trained PE teacher.
This course includes setting up and dismantling of trampolines, code of practice, all basic shapes and twists, combination skills and routine work. It also covers advanced twisting skills to include full twist on and out of body landings, aerial twisting skills, progressions for front and back somersaults, front & back somersaults in tuck, pike & straight shape, and competition theory work. There will be a continuous practical assessment and a written exam.
It is a practical course and delegates are expected to take a full practical role in the course and are responsible for their own lunch and refreshments on each of the days. All delegates will be expected to attend on all days to achieve both levels of the award. There are only 15 places available on this course across the 4 days.
Please Note: Applications for Level 1 only will not be accepted.
NB: Participants should be prepared to take part practically. Please bring your own refreshments and lunch.

Cost / The full course fee is £360 to include certification and BG resources.
Students, as described above, will receive a 10% discount and any afPE members will a receive 10% discount. Students who are also afPE members will be charged £295.00.
A non-refundable 50% deposit will be required at the time of booking by any individual not booking through an institution such as a school.
