CambridgeCollegeUnveilsFree Public Summer Lecture Series on
“Negotiations in Business,” “Finding a Job” and “Effective Grant Writing”
SPRINGFIELD, MASS., July 6, 2011– Today, CambridgeCollegeunveiled the topics for the school’s annual summer lecture series. The free public series is designed to educate the public about resources and opportunities to help advance their careers in a changing economy.
“Negotiations in Business” – Wednesday, July 13 at 6:00 p.m.
Presented byJoseph DeFazio, JD, Educator and International Entrepreneur
This session is designed to help attendees improve their negotiations, joint decision-making and interactive bargaining skills. Participants will also learn how to effectively implement a conflict resolution strategy.
“Finding a Job in a Tough Economy” – Wednesday, July 20 at 6:00 p.m.
Presented by Ed Olsen, Career Coach and Mentor at Hire Aspirations
This special lecture will discuss the best practices for finding a job; help individuals determine the right career for their skill set; and provide tips on how to engage in personal marketing.
“Effective Grant Writing”– Wednesday, July 27 at 6:00 p.m.
Presented by Rick Turner, Ph.D., Academic Coordinator at CambridgeCollege - Springfield
This presentationwill help individuals understand the process of grant writing;discuss how to identify resources; and provide guidance on selecting a philanthropic match for their business.
