Treasurer’s Report – Grace Mears Our current balance is $3313.14.
· Purdue Collegiate 4-H Club Dues
o $10 for the Semester, $15 for the Year
o The first 50 members to pay their dues get a bag full of 4-H swag!
· If you are certified by Purdue to drive a car or van for social events, please let Grace know ().
Ag Council Report – Chris Bueckers
· The Purdue Ag Council last met on Wednesday, October 9th.
· Agriculture clubs can apply for Purdue Ag Council grants once a year. There is up to $17,000 available this year, but next year’s availability will be determined by how much is issued this year (if $3,000 is issued this year, they can only give $3,000 next year).
o Monsanto is a big contributor and sponsors events including the ice cream social and hog roast.
· The College of Ag Hog Roast will be October 16th, from 6pm to 7pm at the Ag Mall.
o There will be a Farmer Olympics at the Hog Roast. Anyone may compete and each team needs to have five people. Not all people on a team have to be from the same club. If you are interested in participating, let Chris know ().
o John Deere will be present with four representatives for networking if you are interested in an internship or career.
o The design for the School of Ag t-shirt will be available to view at the hog roast and order forms will be available.
· The Purdue Ag Council will have a callout on November 4th and 5th in Lilly 2-102 for those interested in joining.

New Business
Purdue Collegiate 4-H Retreat – Nicole Mudrack
· The retreat will be Saturday, October 19th from 12pm to 5pm at Happy Hollow Park in West Lafayette. You may come and go as you please. If you need a ride, see or email an officer and we will get you one.
· This will be a potluck—bring what you would like such as a side dish or dessert; meat will be provided.
· We will also be playing games like volleyball and corn hole and doing team-building activities.
· As a service project, we will be putting together items for the Murdock Afterschool Program.
· Please RSVP by sending an email to Austin () or Grace () if you plan on attending so we have a total count for food.
· Alumni are also invited, so if you know any please spread the word and have them RSVP to Holly ().
· We also discussed possibly participating in a breast cancer walk at the Subaru plant the same day. Each person who participates would need to raise money for the cause. Registration is at 9am and the walk starts at 10am. For more information, visit:

Murdock Afterschool Program – Lydia Smith
· Last week at Murdock, the kids learned about birds. They made pinecone bird feeders and played Angry Birds. There was no Murdock program this week because of fall break.
· Next week the kids will decorate pumpkins and make caramel apples. Find or email Lydia () if you are interested in getting involved! We leave campus at 3:30pm on Tuesdays to get to Murdock by 4:00pm.
Intramural and Social Events – Alyssa Hudson
· The next meeting on Thursday, October 24th at 6pm will be Halloween themed. Please dress up in a costume!
· We are not currently registered in intramurals. Email Alyssa if you are interested in any, but we need enough people to participate so we don’t have to forfeit any games.
· The trip to Exploration Acres Sunday, September 29th was cancelled because they were closed due to heavy rain. Unfortunately, the trip is not going to be rescheduled.
· Thursday, October 24th from 7pm to 10pm is Boo at the Zoo at Columbian Park Zoo in Lafayette. We will be leaving right after the meeting. Volunteering includes face painting, games, crafts, role-playing, and more. Please dress in kid friendly costumes if you dress up!
· On Sunday, October 27th we will have a pumpkin carving social event. If you need a pumpkin, Alyssa can get you one if you give her $4. Please indicate your time availability for that date using the following Doodle poll:

· On Thursday, October 31st we will be trick-or-treating for canned goods for the Salvation Army. Bring a rolling suitcase or pair with someone who has one to carry the canned goods. A time has not yet been set (tentatively 6:30pm to 8:30pm).
· A “dirty Santa” social is being planned for November. Look out for a Doodle poll so we can reserve a room!
North Central Regional 4-H Conference – Cullen Johnson UW-Oshkosh, November 1st-3rd
· Early registration for the conference was due by October 4th. Late registration is due by October 18th and is $115.
· Cullen emailed everyone the registration forms, but if you did not receive one e-mail him at . Please turn in your completed registration and money to Cullen ASAP.
· Seven are going so far after early registration. If you still want to go, you can register with late registration and Cullen will work with you. We are taking an eight passenger van so please let him know soon!
· An agenda will be sent out soon and we will then discuss when we will be leaving.
· We are currently applying for a $400 grant and may be applying for more.

National Collegiate 4-H Invitational – Cullen Johnson Penn State, March 6th-8th, 2014

Relay for Life of Purdue University – Katelin Ade Saturday, April 5, 2014
· Measuring general interest in forming a team for the spring semester. If we start now there would be plenty of time to raise money to get a good spot.
Missouri Trip – Steve McKinley March 7th-9th, 2014
· Missouri would like us to come lead a track of sessions for four to six hours to help teenagers with teamwork. This would be about a six-hour trip and we would need a couple people to go.
