Omega Psi Phi motions to adopt agenda and minutes as written, Alpha Phi Alpha seconds; all are in favor

Report of officers:

1. Vice President of Administration

A. Budget $4000.00 Allocated $7500.00 estimate

2. Vice President of Programs

A. NPHC picnic will be moved to Murray Park this year. Study session dates; please take to chapter and propose dates for everyone to attend. “Greeks Teach” partnering for study session proposed going by major.

3. President

A. Leadership retreat this weekend 1:30pm charter bus, 30 spots left and are flexible if you have to leave and or come back certain hours will have to travel on your own. Hot Springs. Embassy Suites. Must be a student holding a leadership role.

Chapter Reports

*Alpha Phi Alpha: Volunteered at Jacksonville High cleaning and registration, Preparing to win National Chapter of the Year, Alpha week, and Miss Black and Gold if interested in sponsoring or buying ad will have information soon. Preparing for Umoja.

*Alpha Kappa Alpha: International conference won award. Longest Day-making dresses for Africa. Starting Mr. SophitAKA’d sign up. Participated in freshman move in.

*Kappa Alpha Psi: Shimmy like a Nupe coming up. Kappa week 9.18-9.24.

*Omega Psi Phi: Pi Kappa weekend and Conclave in Las Vegas this summer, having a cookout at the Village, Que week 8.28-9.3. Preparing for Umoja Step show.

*Delta Sigma Theta: Helped with freshman move-in, Preparing for Umoja step show & Fashion show auditions 9.19 & 9.23. Car wash this saturday at The Vault, donations are welcome. Jamie was Crowned Crimson as Miss Arkansas at Regional Conference. If you want to donate to Delta Baton Rouge flood relief contact Candace Culbertson . Participated in Coffee and donuts and meet the greeks.

*Phi Beta Sigma:Chapter president conference call and awards Ricky and another member received a scholarship. Exhibit at Mosaic Templar, feeding the homeless event held by DejaBlu, Benton police interviewing event, participated at UALR freshman orientation, move in and UPC karaoke. preparing for intake. State meeting 8.27.

*Zeta Phi Beta:Attended chapter president retreat, Regional conference, student organization fair, and meet the greeks. Hosting back to school drive for Mablevale elementary, Zeta leadership summit this weekend.

*Sigma Gamma Rho: Participated in NSO and freshman move in. Information table and meet and greet last week. PROMISE at UCA summer camp 7/18. Attended chapter president retreat. Operation Bookbag drive on friday’s. Campus clean up on 9.5. Area one meeting.

Standing Committee Reports:

1.NPHC WEEK Committee

A. NPHC T-kickoff dsc mall7-9pm; W-NPHC 101 -6:30-8pm all orgs will present presentation, and must have presenter designated; only 2 people can present. Kalan will send out presentations and are due back by 9.5.16 edits 6:30-8:30pm, auditorium Th-Car bash 11-2pm time slots for orgs to work event; Umoja step show 9.9 doors open at 6:30pm. tickets go on sale today. Organization rep has to sign contract to be issued tickets. Reminder that ALL ORGS MUST WORK THE SHOW AND PARTY in order to receive profit funds from show and party.

2. UMOJA Chair

A. Umoja Step show on Sept. 9. Handing out tickets. Flyer should be completed by tomorrow. Judge from Kappa Alpha Psi needed, Need host confirmed. Order of performing selected. Picking order for show and schedule to work door, will send asap. DJ Jayvon Jackson for Umoja events. Step show judges needed at 5:30.

Unfinished/Old Business

Mandatory training meeting 9.7.16 3pm in order to have party. Attendance is required from organization members and advisors.

New Business

Greek Letters update: cleaned out mall area. Sticker decal letters will temporarily be placed on cafe windows until Metal letters are made. Greek plot input is needed at Leadership retreat.
