Call to Order by Andrea Lomax at 3:30 PM.

Attendance: Andrea Lomax, Bianca Ingram, Kristen Birdsong, Jamie Jones, Sondra Eiland, Mr Doherty & see attached sign-in sheet

Officer’s Reports:

President and President elect - Andrea Lomax/Bianca Ingram

●Thank you for your continued support and participation.

●Thank you for your patience with any issues with PTO tshirts.

●There are a limited supply of extra shirts and may be purchased for $10.

Vice President - Kristen Birdsong

Treasurer - Jamie Jones

●Current financials – account standing, total revenue from memberships, Viking cups profit, Spirit Nightdonations.

Secretary - Sondra Eiland

●Membership Report: 256 family memberships, 48 Staff memberships

●Viking Cup fundraiser- 474 many sold

●Class with the highest sales was Mrs. Lawrence’s class. Her class voted on the other two Rita’s flavors.

●We will begin distributing cups as soon as they are in.

Committee Reports:

Room Rep - Ashley Wieck (given by Andrea Lomax)

●Request that room moms to send the PTO information exactly as it is sent to them.

●Will encourage teachers next year to have only one lead PTO rep.

Box Tops - Jessica Wessman (given by Andrea Lomax)

●Teacher collection baskets have been delivered. Teachers are asked to sit their boxes outside their classroom the last Thursday of the month.

●Next collection date is Thursday Oct. 27.

●SeptemberBox Tops have been counted. Mrs. Jackson’s class received the trophy and her class with be awarded popsicles this Friday at special snack.

●The Box Tops for the first mailing will be mailed off on Oct. 15th for the Nov. 1 deadline.

●Volunteers are always welcome.

Hospitality - Gail Mathews (given by Andrea Lomax)

●Teacher Appreciation is Tuesday Oct. 11th. Marco’s will be supplying pizza and salad. PTO and admin will be providing drinks and dessert.

Fall Festival - Kristy Hamm (given by Kristen Birdsong)

●Fall Festival will be held on Friday, Oct. 21 from 6-8 PM at DEES.

●Flyers will be coming home this week.

●An email with game assignments has been distributed, along with a Sign-Up Genius for various donation needs, broken down by grade and class.

●Volunteers from DMS and DHS service clubs are scheduled to work most of the booths, though we need adult volunteers for Admission Booth, Snack Bar, Chick Fil A, and at the inflatables.

●Teachers please come to the festival. Students and parents love to see you all.

●Fall Festival work day Monday Oct. 10th.

Special Snack: (Sam and Rosemary) - kids are doing great and parents please continue to sign up with the sign-up genius link to volunteer. I will resend this link soon.

Old business:

●AR shirts will be ordered on a monthly basis. The first order is expected to be here Friday, Oct. 14th.

New business:

●Rita’s will no longer be pre-order.

●Winner of the AR t-shirt contest - Tony Arkulin, a 6th grader in Mrs. Hunter’s class. Top 5 finalists are framed and on display in library. We will coordinate a photo op with the Mayor and Tony.

●Chick-fil-A spirit night October 13th - slips will be sent home next week.

●Karpet King is donating their services again. The library will have their carpets cleaned over the Christmas hoiday.

●Spring events: looking for event chairs for Father/Daughter Dance and Mother/Son activity. Family Movie Night with silent art auction may replace.
