Collegiate 4-H Meeting Minutes

October 20th, 2016

Call to order and Welcome: Gabrielle Teter,

Pledges:

· Pledge of Allegiance – Thomas Ault

· 4-H Pledge – Ashley Thurman

Secretary’s Report – Emily Grimm,

Treasurer’s Report – Abby Hunnicutt,

· Current Balance - $2672.09

· $10 for semester, $15 for academic year – checks payable to Purdue Collegiate 4-H

· 4-H past t-shirts and polos for sale. Also, dry fit polos and fleeces will be available for order for $25 each. Orders will be placed for the next 2 meetings.

Officer Trainings – Kendall Gatewood,

· Traveling to counties in Indiana to train 4-H members in grades 7-12 how to be better officers and members for their clubs and communities.

· Fulton County, November 14th leave campus at 5 pm.

· ~1.5 drive. Officer Training starts at 7:00.

Recreation: Ships & Sailors

New Business:

Murdock – Morgan Ritzi,

· Every Thursday, pick up at 2:35 pm by Windsor/Tarkington – back to campus by 4:00

· Spend time with 3rd & 4th graders doing fun activities!

· This week’s activity was Halloween masks and ghosts.

Intramural Leagues – Thomas Ault,

· Indoor Volleyball signups are done! Tonight’s game is cancelled and rescheduled for Wednesday, November 2nd at 9:45.

· Currently 6 members signed up – need guys and girls!

Farmer Olympics and College of Ag Hog Roast

· Farmer Olympics cancelled due to rain and hog roast was moved inside to Lilly Hall.

Skip-A-Meal for Local 4-H Canine Club

· Group from Collegiate 4-H attended skip a meal at Puccini’s on October 17th for a local 4-H canine club.

Collegiate 4-H Skip-A-Meal

· Collegiate 4-H is planning to hosting a skip-a-meal on Sunday, Dec 4th.

· Held from 3:00-10:00 pm at Cousin’s Pauley’s in Chauncey. To participate, mention you are with Collegiate 4-H when ordering.

Regional Collegiate Conference – Anthony St. John,

· The conference will be held at Iowa State University on October 21-23. 4 Purdue students are attending.

Boo at the Zoo – Molly Towns,

· October 27th leaving at 6:20 pm and returning by 10:30 pm. (Meet in front of WSLR!)

· Shift from 7:00-10:00.

· Sign-ups are still open if anyone wants to participate. Come in costume!

Creepy Science Day – Morgan Ritzi,

· October 29th two shifts: 9:30 am until 12:45 pm and 12:30 pm to 4 pm.

· Both shifts will be given lunch at the event.

· Takes place in the ADM building at Purdue

Winterization – Anthony St. John,

· November 5th registration is now open, we have a signup sheet at the front.

· Sign-ups on Facebook. Select “Collegiate 4-H” as organization.

Bowling – Thomas Ault,

· November 3rd after the Halloween party (bowling in costumes!)

· 3 lanes reserved at the PMU bowling lanes.

· Club pays for the lanes reservation and members will pay $2.25 for shoe rental.

QPR Training – Cassie Lehmann,

· Suicide Prevention Training

Halloween Party! - November 3rd

· Minute to win it games for Haloween candy, pumpkin painting, festive snacks.

· Wear a costume!
