Treasurer’s Report – Zack Kozel:

-Pizza in the Park had $10 left over

-Monster Mash made $2200, but still awaiting all expenses to come in

-Amazon made $35 last month. Hilary plans to put flyer about Amazon program out before Thanksgiving

-Katie: Pizzarita has a program where the school could earn $.50 for a proof of purchase clipped off of every pizza box

-Idea/Change: Should we increase “Author Visit” budget to cover additional assemblies? Motion to raise the budget from $800 to $2000.Katie Glazier. Second: Hilary Kozel. Discussion: With the increase in the budget, we will fund 2 or more “enrichment activities/assemblies” per year. Vote: ALL in favor to approve.

PTG Mail – Katie Glazier:

-Thank you note from Mrs. Coyote

Monster Mash – Katie Glazier:

-This year’s MM was run by committee (vs chair) and went really well.

-Received over $300 for the Community Fund from donations at ticket pre-purchase. Six families used the scholarship from the Community Fund for tickets.

-Michelle Staben: Running out of food is okay – kids don’t need endless donut holes. Need more Dixie cups next year.

-Zach Kozel: Many more pre-sales of tickets – twice as many as last year.

Family Directory – Katie Glazier:

-Production of the directory has been postponed. Maddie Jensen is taking the lead from here.

Box Tops – Katie Glazier:

-Still looking for a new chair

-Next collection is in March

Art Night – Laura Cook Croddy:

-Next week!

-Discussion: Should we make this a canned food drive? Decided it would be better to do that in conjunction with Book Bingo in March.

Staff Holiday Breakfast – Hilary Kozel:

-Friday, December 15 – as noted on calendar

Auction – Alex. Evans:

-Two more chairs needed - Procurement and Silent Auction!

-Next meeting is November 14

Additional Discussion – Laura Cook Croddy:

-Would like to start a “covert committee” of sorts to provide clothing and other items to Wilson students in need throughout the year. The committee would not know the names of the students, and students would not know about the committee.

-Zach: We currently have $1000 in the Community Fund budgeted every year.

-Idea: Start a go fund me for additional funds (if needed)

-Idea: Funnel requests through Mrs. Alfstad. Teachers would identify need and alert Mrs. Alfstad. Mrs. Alfstad would go to Zach to free up the money, and to Laura to relay need (item, size, etc.) Laura and her committee would do the shopping and bring the items to Mrs. Alfstad for distribution.

Theater Program – Katie Glazier:

-Discussion around PTG funding for either Missoula Children’s Theater or Mrs. Padgham’s spring program. Pros and cons to MCT program and mostly all pros for Mrs. Padgham’s program. Mrs. Padgham has a Go Fund me site up to raise $800 for her spring play program. $700 is still to be raised.

-Motion to fund the $700 needed for Mrs. Padgham’s program: Holly Bozo. Second: Hilary Kozel. ALL in favor of supporting Mrs. Padgham’s program.

-In regards to MCT, if a parent would like to take on chairing this program, participants could pay $50 to have MCT come for their program. 64 students would be needed for full participation and funding.

Robotics Program – Katie Glazier:

-Great news!! There is a parent interested in running a robotics program! It will get moving soon.

Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) – Hilary Kozel:

-No report. Meeting is next week.

Principal’s Report – Lindsey Ruppert:

-(Mr. Ressa not in attendance)

-Adding time to January PTG meeting for the school Superintendent to come discuss the SPS levy/campaign

Additional Discussion – Megan McLaughlan:

-Need to think though how to better organize PTG involvement. One idea is to go into every year with the chair parson for each PTG-sponsored event/program set, as well as a shadow chair who will take over the following year. This would help with continuity of programs and information and also get more families involved over the course of their time at Wilson.

-Also need to think through how to better get information to families outside the PTG meetings.

Meeting Adjourned – 7:59 p.m., Katie Glazier
