Research and Ph.D. Programs focus on institutional and technological change, the role of organizations and markets in economic systems, the analysis of complex systems in social sciences, computer science and engineering. Call for Ph.D. in Economics, Markets, Institutions

The Ph.D. Program aims at dealing with issues in political economy, applied public economics, the functioning of industries and markets, the impact of macroeconomics on productivity and growth.

A distinctive feature of the PhD program is the integration of theoretical, technical, and practical expertise, aimed to educate highly qualified professionals, who analyze, plan, and manage concrete interventions of political economy.

Theoretical methodologies and models are generated and tested, through the systematic investigation of the real world, with a distinctive focus on concrete observation of markets and their actors. At the end of the program, students are able to identify commonalities as well as distinctive characters of economies, markets, and industries.

Assistant Professor and Post-doctoral Fellow Positions

in Economics

IMT seeks for highly qualified candidates in the following fields: Applied Economics, Applied Public Economics, International Economics, International Trade, Industrial Organization, Political Economy, Law and Economics, Health Economics, are invited to apply for Faculty Positions at the Assistant Professor and Post-Doctoral Fellow level. Preference will be given to candidates oriented towards applied research and with a high degree of proficiency in the use of mathematical and statistical methods.

Assistant Professors and Post-Doctoral Fellows are usually appointed for a fixed term from one year up to three years. All contracts can be renewed once, for up to six years. Assistant Professors differ from Post-doctoral Fellows on the basis of experience and scientific curriculum. Remuneration package is competitive at the international level and includes generous research funds. Additional benefits may be negotiated with selected applicants.
