The International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN) is to provide an international forum for scientists, engineers, computer users, and students to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects of communication networks and distributed computing systems. This is the seventh conference with the new name ICOIN, which succeeds the Joint Workshop on Computer Communications (JWCC) starting from 1985. Aside from the regular paper presentations, the ICOIN-15 meeting will include keynote speeches with speakers from both industry and academia.

CONFERENCE LOCATION

ICOIN-15 will be held at the Beppu Convention(B-Con) Plaza, Beppu City, Oita, Japan. B-Con Plaza is new and uniquely designed high-tech building equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, and a 125-meter Global Tower with a viewing deck providing a 360 degrees panoramic view of Beppu area. Beppu is blessed with natural beauty and hot springs (or "onsen" in Japanese), is one of the famous hot spring resorts in the country, and affords a pleasure-giving opportunity for you, family and friends to experience.

Beppu City is accessible by air through Oita or Fukuoka International Airports, or by buses or trains from Fukuoka or Shimonoseki Cities. So, come and participate in ICOIN-15. Beppu is steaming!

Note: Registration fee includes a copy of the conference proceedings, welcome reception, banquet, and coffee

breaks. Registration forms and other details can be found at the conference website. Student fee includes reception, but does not includes banquet and proceeding.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

A block of rooms has been reserved in conference official hotels (listed below) for ICOIN-15 participants at special discount rates. Participants are requested to make the hotel reservation as early as possible since only limited number of rooms are reserved for ICOIN-15. Availability of rooms is on a first-come, first-served basis and shall be closed on Dec. 15, 2000. Shuttle buses will be available during the conference from these hotels to B-Con Plaza in the morning, and from B-Con Plaza to the hotels in the afternoon. Following rates are per person per night including breakfast and service charge. 5% consumption tax and spa tax (JPY 150) will be added when you check out.
