CALL FOR EVENT Contest of Presentations: “The Place I would like to …”

This year (2013) TELTA invites everybody who likes English

to participate in the contest of presentations.

It is committed to helpinglearners of English develop superior presentation skills.

Your presentation may dwell on such important areas as

your personal achievements, cultural issues, way of life, love for the country.

1 stage: February – 25March – Local Level – (school and university)

Contest of presentations in your student group, faculty, school.The Jury Board of school / faculty chooses the winners and delegates best performances to the CITY level (3 best presentations from each school / faculty).

2 stage: 12 April (city levelonly for school students).

Contest of presentations will take place within the university event “Start to Science”.

Participants are invited 12 April, 2013, at 16 : 00,Room 220, building 2, Tomsk State University (Lenin Prospect., 36).

3 stage: 27 April - Final Stage of the Contest and Award Ceremony.

  1. Registration for the CITY level by requires the following info:
  • Date of Presentation (only for school students): __ March / 27 April 2013.
  • Participant’s Name (Age).
  • Name of your institution (school №, university, faculty, and group №).
  • Your Teacher’s full name and contact info (for issuing a CERTIFICATE).
  • Title of Presentation.
  • Your Contact information (mobile tel. / e-mail).
  • Specify if you would like to have a CERTIFICATE of participation in the event:

Individual participants can also take part in the event. You are welcome to the City level.

The evaluation requirements are the following:

Duration of the presentation should not exceed 7 minutes;

Organization & Development of Content: clear outline, concise, smooth, logical;

Content: clear, easy to understand, thoughtful, variety of resources, originality, interesting to audience;

Speech: clarity, pronunciation, use of appropriate words, grammar;

Delivery: enthusiasm, confidence, use of allotted time, interaction with the audience (during and after the presentation);

Visual Aids: visually pleasing, not too complex, easy to read and understand, coordinated with content, emphasizing main points.
