Please be aware of some of the conditions, dangers and discomforts of ship travel. These include (but are not limited to):

·  You will work a 12 hour shift each day.

·  You will be expected to create or participate in science education projects.

·  The ship is not easily accessible (e.g, narrow, steep stairs must be climbed).

·  You will be expected to share a 2-person cabin and sleep in a bunk bed

·  One restroom is shared between two 2-person cabins (4 people)

·  The ship is noisy, and may make sleeping difficult.

·  Rough seas, inclement weather, and seasickness are common.

·  Professional medical care is not readily available.

·  Alcohol and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.

·  You will be required to produce proof of health insurance.

·  Inform us of any special dietary requirements.

·  Internet (including email) may not be available. Cell phone reception is only available near Oahu. There is an on-board satellite phone for personal use at your own expense.
