C-2A PILOT FORMATION FLIGHT SYLLABUS

FORM-2X / Formation Check Flight

1. Syllabus requirements for a Formation flight qualification may be modified by the Commanding Officer based upon previous experience and qualifications on a case by case basis.

2. A formation qualified Aircraft Commander is required in each aircraft for formation to be flown. A formation qualified Instructor Pilot is required for all formation syllabus flights.

3. All syllabus events will be marked SAT or UNSAT. If an event is deemed UNSAT, the remarks should indicate the reason for the Unsatisfactory grade. The Training Officer will formulate a syllabus in the form of simulators, training flights, and/or lectures to correct identified deficiencies for approval by the Commanding Officer. The event shall be re-flown and documented with a grade of SAT prior to proceeding with the syllabus. All additional training will be documented permanently in each training jacket.

4. Upon satisfactory completion of all requirements, the Pilot may be recommended for designation as a Formation Qualified Pilot.

5. FORM-1 and FORM-2X should be flown as separate events.
