Attendance: Val Gerving, Billy Schmidt, Keri Potter, Lisa Gronberg, Ron Clarke, Troy Nelson, Bryan Hinsz
Treasurer’s Report: Made $450 insurance payment. Received refund from Scheel’s for equipment that never came in last summer.
Raffle—Will continue to ask for donations of prizes to be included on ticket. Keri will get started on permit process.
Parks and Rec—Billy spoke with Tim Kuntz re: use of Clem Kelley diamonds for Bismarck Blast. He says it depends on Men’s League schedule of tournaments before will commit to BYFSA. Waiting to hear more from Randy Bina re: use of diamonds for summer league. Did hear from BPS, we will have Solheim, Rita Murphy and Highland Acres again for this summer’s use. Contract was signed and returned to BPS.
Travel Update—have booked rooms in Rapid City, Moorhead and Grand Forks. Difficulty finding rooms for West Fargo tourney as Bieber concert in Fargo that weekend.
Received information that Minot wants to have tourney and are looking at either June 18,19 or July 9,10. Wondering what works for us. We let them know that we would come for June 18,19. This will eliminate our hotel problem in West Fargo as well.
Tryout information will be posted to website. Kids will be trying out for the year of birth team (ex; 2004,etc.) Registration will open February 12 and close March 11. Cost is $125, will be charged after child makes the team. Will offer an alternate tryout date as needed.
Winter Clinics—We found out that our gym rental for Winter Clinics has fallen through. Have already cancelled first week. Will attempt to still get 4 weeks in. Val will get registered with BPS and look for gym space for the clinics.
Gym space was booked for winter clinic: Wachter south for Feb 14,21,28 and Solheim for March 6. 5-7:30 each date. Info was sent to all parents and also posted on website and Facebook.
Have 34 registered for general skills, and 22 for pitching. Kristen will get t-shirts ordered.
Summer League—Registration will open March 1, close April 22, with late close April 29.
Fees: 8U $75, with raffle tickets fee included will equal $125.
10U and 11O--$100, with raffle fee will equal $150.
Raffle fee of $50 refunded after sold raffle tickets are returned.
Parent Meeting will be May 1 at WachterCafetorium.
Coaches Meeting will be May 8 at WachterCafetorium.
