Fall

By Emily Buckley

Floating leaves

Displaying their colors

As fall changes to winter.

What a beautiful sight to see.

Walking through the decorated woods

The sound of “Crunch! Crunch!”

Fills the autumn air.

I love to see the crinkled leaves

Change as fall energizes

Into winter again,

And again…

As fall changes into winter

What a beautiful sight to see.

Winter

By Emily Buckley

What a wonderful time

When fall changes into winter.

Looking out your frosty window,

Seeing snow covered children.

Walking down the road

All your tired neighbors outside

Shoveling the glistening snow

From the night before.

All of the children’s snowmen

Look just like Frosty.

In front of every snow covered house.

Christmas carolers

Singing Silent Night.

When winter is here

The leaves are finally gone,

Put away the rake,

And bring out the shovel

Because here comes the snow!

Bird’s Nest

By Emily Buckley

Can you see the brown bird’s nest

That fell out of the tree?

That was made by a Robin

Can’t you see?

The mud covered nest

Lies on the ground

With white messy string woven

All around.

Back and forth like a basket.

Crafting a gigantic nest

Coming back every year

He is surly not a pest.
