Treasurer’s Report / John Dukala / §  Ending balance as of January 31, 2011 was $9,950.28
Special Topics / Dr.Blanche/Board Members / §  Dr. Blanche, Mrs. Zinni and Mr. Altenberg presented the state of the district.
§  District 44 is in good shape financially
§  District 44 seeing good test results from MAP and Aims and Isat testing
President Report / Cheri Nelson / §  Enchanted Castle night - scheduled for Thurs, 2/24
§  Start collecting Ultra Foods receipts again - yes
§  Get well gift for Patti Kring -- find out when will be good time to send something, also vote to pay for it out of contingency. -(voted and approved)
§  Early Childhood program will be extended courtesy membership in our PTA, which will include invitation to attend our events. They have their own fun event for spring and will not be participating in Sports Day.
1st Vice President Report / Denise Hughes / §  Family Fitness Night—Feb. 17th with PE Teacher/Will be stations for students and parents to move through
2nd Vice President Report / Ayumi Sherman / §  Enchanted Castle night Thurs 2/24.
§  Need volunteers to help sell wrist bands

Principal’s Report / Kris Walsh / §  most recent data day - focused on students individually. It was a valuable day. District folks as well as our Butterfield intervention team is present for data day. It is very specific to the needs of each child.
§  SIP day last week focused on writing program
§  Valentine's Day parties a success.
§  Finished 2nd round of MAP testing - those results and AimsWeb results will be out this Friday.
§  ISAT - state gave option to change testing window due to snow days -- our district will move back 1 week (was 2/28, now 3/7-3/11). If we continued with original date, would be considered in the early testing window.
§  Snacks for ISATS. Please be mindful of food allergies when purchasing. Needed for all 3 days.
§  All school field trip will be at Morton Arboretum - date TBD
§  Mr. Metz resigned. Julie Matik will teach his class for the remainder of the year.
§  Due to snow days, last day of school is now Tuesday, June 7th.

Assemblies / Ayesha Ahmed / §  Final all-school assembly—Cinema Academy’s “Chicago: A Cultural Mosaic” on Tues., Feb. 22 9:30—3rd thru 5th graders
§  Share this assembly with Park View Elementary School; therefore each school received a small discount—Total cost-$625.00
§  John needs to have the 3rd payment of $287.00 ready for Feb. 22nd/Can give to Mary in the office
§  Families are welcome to attend the assemblies
§  Updated information on assemblies is on the bulletin board in the hallway
