(GENERAL)
1.Section 1 of Ontario Regulation 442/95 is amended by adding the following paragraphs:
10.1.1The Financial Administration Act.

2.Section 4 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
Business Identifier
4.(1)A business that has been assigned a business identifier under section 8 of the Act shall use the business identifier,
(a)when making a registration or filing a form to file under a designated Act or a program established under a designated Act;
(b)when inquiring about a record of a registration or filing under a designated Act or a program established under a designated Act; and
(c)on the request of a Ministry of the Government of Ontario or of an agency, board or commission established under an Act of Ontario.
(2)If a business that has not been assigned a business identifier under section 8 of the Act attempts to make a registration or file a form to file referred to in clause (1) (a), the Minister responsible for section 8 of the Act shall assign a business identifier to the business in accordance with the system of business identifiers established under that section.
(3)If a business that has been assigned a business identifier under section 8 of the Act or under subsection (2) makes a registration or files a form to file under a designated Act other than the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997, the Minister responsible for the designated Act may discontinue any other system of business identification for the registration or filing of the business under a designated Act other than the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997.
(4)If a business that has been assigned a business identifier under section 8 of the Act or under subsection (2) makes a registration or files a form to file under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board may discontinue any other system of business identification for the registration or filing of the business under that Act.
3.(1)Paragraph 4 of subsection 8 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
4.The chair or chief executive officer of a corporation that administers an Act or provisions of an Act on behalf of the Government of Ontario or a Crown corporation that exercises powers or performs duties under an Act.
(2)Paragraph 4 of subsection 8 (2) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
4.In the case of an application under paragraph 4 of subsection (1), to the chair or chief executive officer of the corporation.
(3)Subsection 8 (4) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the day section 3 of Schedule 5 to the Strong Action for Ontario Act (Budget Measures), 2012 came into force” and substituting “September 10, 2013”.
Commencement
4.(1)Subject to subsection (2), this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
(2)Sections 2 and 3 come into force on January 1, 2017.
