Below is a list of items and aspects you may need to consider when you planning your business. You can adjust this document as you see fit as it is a word document. Watch Meeting #2 for more information.

Check off what you already had ready to go. Fill in the other areas as needed. This is about you deciding what elements you want in your business and then filling in the details you need for the elements you choose as you decide what your want to do.

When you see everything laid out – you will be able to see what you have ready to go and what you don’t. You can what you need to work on and the general rule is start with the easiest things first.You may also get clarity as to the type of work/program you want to do if you do not know already.

Technology

*Email Service (Active Campaign is the current highly recommended one) – essential for building an email list: ______

Business Facebook Page: Put it in your own make with your designation for now if you do not have a business name – you can change it later of you like. If you start one – be sure to post on it. Can be recipes, links to good info or a simple comment – asks you friends to like it etc.______

Website: Do this when you are ready and you now what you want.

Online Booking Service (Practice Better is free for the first 3 clients and then very inexpensive as you grow. Allows you to streamline the office aspect of your business:

Online Payment Method:Paypal is the easiest way to start. Get a business account. This allows you to get a virtual terminal and be able to take credit car payment from clients if you do not have you online set up set for this or they do not want to pay online.

Online Membership Site: Only necessary of you are doing online programs. Memberpress is reasonably price. Access Ally is more sophisticated when you grow and need more

Ecommerce Store: Some website hosts have ecommerce services that can replace paypal – not the place to start

Marketing:

Business Cards, Brochures, Flyers (As needed – must have activities that require them) Brochures, flyers must have a unique, attention grabbing title and speak to concerns (emotions)

Blog/Newsletter: It is a must to build the email list clients are going to come form the list over time so build the relationship. Sending them regular good information is how to build the list – once a week is enough for a single piece of info. Or compile several pieces in one email as a newsletter sent monthly (this could also be weekly or bi-weekly, too)

Email List: Collect emails wherever you can – offer something in exchange lead magnet) This can be done when you give a presentation, offer attendees something that you can email them. Offer can also post this on your Facebook business page, your website when you have one:

Giving free talks or paid talks: great for both offline and online (but better for offline:

Social Media: Pick one that works for you and stick to it. Instagram is good right now and it can be linked to your Facebook page to save you time posting there as well.

Your Own Facebook Closed Group: If you have a specific topic and want to draw people interested in the topic:

Joining Facebook Groups: Finding groups where your target clients are is helpful. Get known in the group by participating. Some groups allow you to post your blog post link or webinars – always read the rule and ask. List some appropriate groups.

Sales Page: When you have a website and are ready to sell from there. Best for a program but can also be use for services for one-one one consulting – this is your pitch for them to sign-up ______

Opt-In Lead Magnet: Your freebie. Something short and easy to consume. Necessary for website. Also,necessary for posting on Facebook and social media. Great place to add an experiential element

Landing Page: This is where they go to give you their email address and then they get an email that sends them their freebie.

Email SalesFunnel: This is series of emails they receive after they give you their email address. It consists of a thank you email, then a series of good content so they can get to know you and may finally include a pitch for your program when you are ready. If not, ready keep sending them good content. Great place to add an experiential element. Make a list for the content.

Facebook Ads: Great way to build list but requires a lot of knowledge and skill so not something to go for first unless you have someone who can help you:

Free Webinars:(Zoom, Webinarjam, Go To Meeting)Live ones are a great way to build an email list even though some people will only watch the replay. You need to have good topic and a list to promote it to. You can also promote these in Facebook groups you have joined if they let you: Live webinars are experiential.

*Outline of where your target client can be found: Make a list of possibilities. This can include other practitioners, people your friends and family know, support groups, schools, churches etc. Depends on what you decide to do. You should really think carefully about this list.

Program/ProtocolElements:

Name:Does it have the program have a name (not needed for one-on-one at the beginning. Can be helpful form a marketing perspective if it says what you offer some definition? ______

Forms/Questionnaires: Do you have these for clients to fill out? Make a list of what you have or would like to have

Handouts: Do you have these? List them – where are you planning to use them? Can be used as bonuses, experiential elements, something to hep them have better understanding, give extra value. Could be experiential tasks

Menu Plans: Seldom are followed so need to be seen as a teaching tool or reference for the client. Also, can be used for freebies (only give 7 days for this) and added value. Can be used for experiential learning. Make a list of what you have or would like to have

Food Journal Form: Great tool for experiential learning. Do you have one? List what you think should be in it: ______

Outline of Program: If doing one, lay it out – how many weeks is it and what is covered in each week. How many people do you want in a group (or if online – what would be an ideal number for a sales promotion to make it worth your while)? Think it all through? Don’t be afraid to leave some of it undefined so you can adjust as you go – this works really well for a live program or an online one where you release content one week at a time. How can you break it down into small tasks for experiential learning?
