Business Casual / Team Gear Fridays
“Business Casual” dress is a form of business dress that is used to allow employees to feel more comfortable, while still looking professional.
Business casual has replaced formal business dress at many offices and firms in the U.S.
Many times, even if a firm has a formal dress policy, “Business Casual” Friday is allowed each week.
We will use “Business Casual Friday” for different purposes.
- The main purpose is to help students to understand how business dress, specifically “Business Casual” works and what is and is not appropriate.
- To allow students who are learning about Business and Marketing related principles, to feel more professional in their dress.
- To help students with needed added points for daily assignments, tests or quizzes.
Guidelines:
- Business Casual Fridays will occur only on the Fridays that are announced during the week.
- To get credit for your “Business Casual” dress, you must be “inspected” by Coach Sparks and “pass” inspection.
- The criteria issued to you will be utilized for inspection, and adhered to strictly.
- You will be given the opportunity to take a ticket the day before each “Business Casual” Friday. You must take a ticket to participate. If you take a ticket more than once and do not participate, you will lose points on your next assignment. Be sure you are planning to participate, before you request the ticket!!!!
- To get credit you must have your “Business Casual” ticket from the day before. No ticket = No credit!
- The points must be used the following week on an assignment, either a daily assignment, test or quiz.
SEM I & II Alternative: For SEM classes, the alternative is to wear a piece of licensed team gear on B.C. Friday. The gear should represent your favorite team and should be a jersey, sweatshirt, t-shirt, etc. You must still take a ticket on Thursday and you must return with your ticket on Friday to receive credit.
