We are recruiting for a Senior Consultant to join the search team of TARGETrecruit in our busy Farringdon office. The search team are a professional search and selection agency, specialised in graduate recruitment, for a variety of industries and types of graduate roles. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and manage your own portfolio of clients, with existing and new clients, and source candidates to fill those opportunities. We need a consultant with recruitment experience who can really bring roles and companies to life - this, ultimately, can be one of the biggest decisions in a graduate’s life so far, and they need an expert who goes beyond the typical consultant to help them make that decision. Experience in graduate recruitment is a plus but not essential. As long as you have solid agency experience, at recruitment consultant or senior recruitment consultant level, coupled with experience of new client acquisition, excellent account management, and candidate headhunting/attraction and can demonstrate a background in achieving/exceeding targets, training will be provided on specifics aspects relating to recruitment best practice in the UK graduate market.

Typically we operate with roles that demand people of a high academic calibre, often in sectors where there is limited availability of good quality graduates. This is a tough market place, so someone who relishes a challenge and would be comfortable with discerning clients with high expectations, as well as students who are looking for that ideal first career choice, would be best suited to apply. As this is a newly created role it requires an individual who has determination, resilience, credibility and ambition to approach employers and bring new companies on board to our search service. You need to be a persuasive person who isable to open doors, in an effective yet professional way. This is a really exciting opportunity, as this part of our business is planned to grow considerably over the next two years.

There is an excellent basic salary on offer for this role, with a commissions (uncapped)/bonus package that reward the work and effort put in and results that are achieved.

The successful candidate will need to have:

•At least eighteen months - three years agency recruitment experience, probably as a recruitment consultant or senior consultant (senior recruitment consultant)

•Minimum Bachelor’s degree level education

•Proactive personality with a can do attitude

•Excellent communication skills - oral and written

•Evidence of building relationships at all levels

•High level organisational ability – Also able to provide collaborative strategic and operational input as business grows

•A track record of meeting, achieving and exceeding targets

•Intellectual curiosity about both business and people

•Strong sense of customer service

Other Information:

  • Permanent role –37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday – 9.00 – 5.30pm, but hours to suit the business requirement to meet targets
  • 3 month probationary period
  • Salary dependant on experience – Excellent basic salary plus OTE of £12K for 1st Year commission (uncapped)
  • Automatically enrolled onto Company pension scheme after 3 month qualifying period, with employee contributing 3% of monthly salary and GTI will match employee contributions up to a maximum of 5% of monthly salary
