Ellin & Tucker Begins 2015 with the Appointment of Two New Principals

Kim Fusco and Bryan Porter to assume leadership roles within their respective areas of expertise, strengthening the firm’s not-for-profit, construction and manufacturing divisions

Baltimore, MD – Ellin & Tucker, the Baltimore-based public accounting and business consulting firm, announced today thatKim Fusco and Bryan Porter have been appointed to principals within the audit, accounting and consulting department of the firm. In their expanded roles, Fusco and Porter will be taking the lead on client engagements in the not-for-profit industry and the construction and manufacturing industries, respectively, supporting Ellin & Tucker’s extensive capabilities in serving those markets.

Kim Fuscopreviously held the role as manager within the firm’s audit, accounting and consulting department. In her new role, she is a leading member of Ellin & Tucker’s Not-for-Profit Services Group. Fusco is the chairperson of the firm’s not-for-profit area of the accounting and auditing technical standards committee, which develops programs to enhance understanding of current accounting and financial reporting standards for the firm’s professionals. In 2009, she founded and developed the firm’s award-winning Giving Back Committee, which has sincedonated more than 1,800 items and logged over 1,200 volunteer hours. Fuscohas been recognized for her significant contributions to the community, including her Philanthropic 5 Awardwin from the United Way of Central Maryland in 2014.

In addition to her not-for-profit experience, Fuscoalso performs audits, reviews and compilations of financial statements, handles employee benefit plan audits and prepares corporate tax returns for clients in the investment, manufacturing, distribution and law industries.

Bryan Porterpreviously held the role as manager within Ellin & Tucker’s audit, accounting and consulting department. In his new role, he will provide audit, accounting and advisory services to many of Ellin & Tucker’s construction and manufacturingclients. As a well-respected member of the firm’s Construction Services Group, Bryan has been tapped by industry publications such as Construction Global and CFMA Building Profits to author articles, sharing his insights about projected trends in the construction industry and how companies can maximizetheirrelationships with theiraccountants year-round.

In addition to his construction and manufacturingbackground, Porterregularly performs audits, reviews and compilations of financial statements and prepares corporate tax returns for privately held companies in the not-for-profit, technology, real estate, service and wholesale distribution industries.He is a member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee and Mentoring Program, which helps to train and acclimate professionals to the firm. He is also a member of Ellin & Tucker’s Audit and Accounting Technical Standards Committee.
