Building high moral character from healthy competition

Dear Elkhart Business Owners,
The fall of 2016 will be our sixth season of tackle football in Elkhart for kids in grades three through six. We afford every child in Elkhart interested in tackle football the opportunity to play, regardless of his family’s income. Unlike other youth football leagues in this area, charging well above a $100 registration fee, affordability is a priority for the EYFL. Our registration fees have never exceeded $100 and it is important to us to keep it that way!
Our goal is to build a winning football culture in Elkhart. The EYFL coaches football fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship through healthy competition. EYFL is a USA Football Heads Up tackling certified program. We have almost 200 kids in our league and our players are outfitted in over $200 worth of equipment (we provide everything except practice jerseys and shoes), we hire local, IHSAA licensed officials to work each game, and we carry an insurance policy on every player. This is all made possible through small fundraisers during the season, but mostly from charitable donations by local businesses.
As of 2014, EYFL owns all equipment, free and clear; however, there is some equipment maintenance required this year. While the equipment reconditioning process is much more cost effective than replacing it with new equipment, it still carries a significant expense. In addition, our equipment storage facility is no longer locally owned and, as a result, EYFL will now be incurring equipment storage costs. We would also like to upgrade our game jerseys this year. Again, charitable donations from local businesses are critical to the longevity of the EYFL. We really need your help this year!
