The list division and grant type here is now offering the list grant name/grant program type here Capacity Building Initiative, a one-time resource to help grantees and sub-grantees gain organizational capacity and/or create solutions that will improve program performance and increase outcomes for <list grant purpose here>.

·  Build knowledge base of staff administering and providing list services/outcomes here

·  Increase capacity to underserved communities within geographic service area

We have allocated up to $list amount here> for this initiative and will provide up to < $list amount here> in one-time funding for projects. Grantees awarded funding through this initiative will be required to submit a short narrative and expenditure report at the end of the biennium. They may also be asked to participate in a debrief meeting and present at an annual grantee meeting.

What can funds be used for?

The list grant name/grant program type here> Capacity Building Initiative is intended to assist grantees in improving their overall list program outcomes/service delivery/purpose, etc. here We want grantees, sub-grantees and advisory committees to use their local knowledge and creativity to develop strategies that work for them. Some examples of eligible activities include but are not limited to:

·  Technology (equipment, software, etc.)

·  Partnership development

·  Staff development and training

·  Consulting and technical assistance

·  List additional eligible activities here

What activities are NOT eligible for funding?

·  Lobbying or other direct political activities

·  Ineligible activities per list any information from specific grant program type guidelines if/when applicable

What criteria will proposals be reviewed for?

·  Articulates a compelling need

·  Credible plan to address the need

·  Includes plan to sustain the capacity, technology, etc. achieved through the grant

·  Alignment with list grant name/grant program type here program activities

·  Clear outcomes

·  Reasonable budget

What is the initiative timeline?

Completed applications should be emailed to list central point of contact name and email address here> and must be received by 4:30 pm on list date here in order to be considered for funding. Applications should not exceed three pages.

Grantees will be notified of funding decisions by <list date here> Selected applicants awarded funding will need to submit a signed grant agreement no later than <list date here> . Funds will need to be expended by <list date here> .
