Sears One-Act Play festival

On Tuesday, March 1, 2016 the LPCI drama students will be performing as part of the Sears One-Act Play Festival. This is a competitive province-wide theatre event and we have two excellent entries in the festival. Scattering Jake written by Yvette Nolan involves four friends of Jake who reunite around various Toronto locals to scatter their friend’s ashes. In The Art of Remembering by Adina Ruskin five actresses portray one woman’s different experiences returning home after a long absence. LPCI will be hosting the competition on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 7:00 pm. Please come out and support our fantastic students!

REMINDERS

Green Team Updates

The Green Team is working on two initiatives this month. We are selling LP stainless steel water bottles for $5.00. Rather than using a plastic bottle, grab your reusable stainless steel water bottle. We are also encouraging students to bring a 'boomerang lunch'. Aboomerang lunchis another word for a litter less lunch. We hope this will encourage students to cut down on their waste and make more eco-friendly choices.

Kiwanis Music Festival

Please welcome visitors and students that will be competing in this year’s Kiwanis Music Festival. The festival runs from February 22, 2016 to March 4, 2016. Good luck to all the competitors.
