A quorum being present, Mayor Malcolm Konczcalled the budget meeting to order at 6:05 pm

Delegation:

6:45 pm – 7:25 pm

Gerry Syrota from the Commissionaires attended to meeting to answer questions that the council had before deciding to renew the contract for 2017. The bylaw enforcement officer will have to pay more attention to yard sites instead of the traffic violations.

7:35 pm – 8:00 pm

Craig and Gina Lloyd attended the meeting to answer questions about their business proposal. The council is supportive and would like to see the business proposal go ahead.

Malcolm Koncz and Doug Armbruster will measure the area that the Lloyds need and let the office know how much land is in the area required.

9:10 pm – 9:30 pm

Town of Raymore Ron Hido attended the meeting to discuss any outside maintenance issues or concerns with Council.

A quorum being present, Mayor Malcolm Koncz called the regular meeting to order at 9:30pm

That the Town of Raymore approve the minutes as amended of the regular meeting of Council held March 23, 2017 as read.

That the following correspondence and reports as introduced by the Administrator be filed:

Joanne Hamilton the CAO will write a letter to Barry Buggins to keep his dogs quiet and that they in violation with not having a dog license.

Reports:

Derek Purdue reported on the matter of a commercial property.

Malcolm talked about the possibility of purchasing two digital signs on for the highway and one for main street tabled for next meeting.

Malcolm attended a meeting about Solar panels and heating he will ask the rep to come out to one of our meetings to give a presentation.

Malcolm also recommend we make a few appointments next meeting. He also stated the reason why is maybe a committee for Canada 150.

Joanne Hamilton the Administrator reported on the going’s on in the town

Office.

Old Business:

Land 18.04.17 Millar Aaron/Armbruster:

SaleThat the Town of Raymore set the price for unserviced land at six hundred per acre for the business proposal made by Craig and Gina Lloyd.

The Town of Raymore received Quotes from Chad Hubick, Acton’s Plumbing and Heating, Edward Mechanical and Tanks Plumbing and Heating. the decision to replace the water plant furnace will be left until the next meeting

Wage19.04.17Armbruster Doug/Purdue:

That the Town of Raymore increase the wage for the Melvin Lovas to twenty-three dollars ($23.00) per hour starting April 1, 2017 as he passed his Level 1 water ticket.

ContractThat the Town of Raymore renew the 2017 contract with the Saskatchewan South Commissionaires with the 30-day cancellation clause.

Joanne Hamilton the CAO has replied to the R.M. of Mount Hope concerning the recycling portion they are still looking into paying the bill. Our CAO brought to the attention that they would have to pay the landfill the extra 10 dollars per capita if they don’t pay our bill.

StudentThat the Town of Raymore hire one Summer Student for the July and August 2017 at twelve dollars ($12.00) per hour if no suitable candidates are found we will return the grant to Service Canada. Applications are due May 9, 2014 at 4:00 pm
