Dear Parent/Guardian
Now that the school has settled into the start of the new term I wanted to take the opportunity to provide you with some information and dates.

Several new staff have joined the school: Mrs Jane Forster as teacher of Support for Learning, Miss Rebecca Cowie as teacher of English, Mrs Varie Parker as a part-time Clerical Assistant, Mrs Rhona Cooper as General Assistant, Mr Ian Cooper as janitor and Mr Ben Hinnie as Education Auxiliary.

We are also looking ahead to the Primary 7/S1 transfer process and information about this will be sent out to Primary Schools later this month.
Buses
Reminder to ensure that all pupils are carrying their bus passes. Pupils who have lost their pass can buy a replacement from the school office. Pupils without the correct bus pass could be denied access to their bus.
Occasionally a pupil may wish to go home with a friend. If this is the case the school is happy to provide a temporary bus pass if space is available on the bus and a letter is passed to Mr Picksley with at least two days notice from the parent. Temporary bus passes cannot be guaranteed but where possible shall be arranged.
Bus safety: Please encourage your child to use their seatbelt on the school bus and to remain seated at all times while the bus is moving. All buses are fitted with seatbelts for your child’s safety and should used. Faulty seatbelts should be reported to the driver and/or to Mr Picksley.
Yours sincerely
Nigel Engstrand
Rector
