ELIGIBILITY
CLASSES 1, 2, 6-8, 9-12, 17-20 and 21-23 are open to animals, owned, registered and ridden by members of the BSPS, NPS, Ponies UK or TSR.
All other classes are open to animals, owned registered and ridden by BSPS members.
QUALIFIERS
Horse of the Year Show
This Show is a qualifier for Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, 7th – 11th October 2015 only one pony in each of the following classes will qualify:-
Classes 1,2,6,7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 & 23 the highest placed pony not already qualified, from the first five ponies placed in each class will qualify.
THE BSPS “BLUE RIBAND PONY OF THE YEAR”
This Show is a qualifier for the 2015 BSPS Blue Riband Pony of the Year.
The Desert Orchid Blue Riband WHP/WH of the Year - 1st and 2nd in classes 9 - 12 and will qualify.
The Blue Riband Lead Rein & First Ridden Pony of the Year. 1st and 2nd in Classes 1 and 2 and will qualify.
The Legend Blue Riband Show Pony of the Year - 1st and 2nd in Classes 6, 7 and 8 will qualify.
The John Peel Blue Riband S.H.P. of the Year - 1st and 2nd in Classes 17, 18, 19 and 20 will qualify.
The Blue Riband Intermediate SRT and SH of the Year - 1st and 2nd in Classes 21, 22, 23 and 24 and will qualify.
THE BSPS “CLASSIC SECURITY (UK) LIMITED” CHALLENGE
This show is a qualifier for the 2015 BSPS CHALLENGE
The highest placed pony in classes 1-3, 6 – 8, 9-12. 17-20, 21-23 that has not qualified for Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class, will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the BSPS CHALLENGE the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony.
BSPS “BLACK COUNTRY SADDLES” RIDER OF THE YEAR.
The Best Rider in classes 1-3, 6 – 8, 9-12. 17-20, 22-24 will qualify for the final at the BSPS Summer Championships Show.
BSPS MITTEN ASBESTOS CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS
The Show Pony Champions will qualify for the BSPS Mitten Asbestos Show Pony Champion of Champions.

BSPS CHAMPIONSHIPS SHOW
This Show is a qualifier for the 2015 BSPS Championships Show, to be held at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham, Lincolnshire. The first and second prize-winners in Classes 1, 2, 6-8, 9-11, 17-20 and first to third prizewinners in Classes 12, 21-23 and 1st -4th prizewinners in Classes 5 and 16 will qualify provided the animal is owned registered and ridden by a BSPS Member.
Class 3 is a qualifier for the BSPS Premier League.

METHOD OF JUDGING
THE GOLD CUP SPORTS PONY
To be run in accordance with the BSPS Rules for Combined Training & Gold Cup 2015
Any SUITABLE BRIDLE, Boots and MARTINGALES ARE PERMITTED FOR WSP AND SHOW JUMPING
Competitors must compete in Sections A, B and C.
Marks attained in Section A – Dressage and Section B- WSP, shall be added together.
Any penalties incurred in Section C – Jumping will be deducted from the total of Section A and B.
The winner of the combined class will then be the one with the highest remaining score.
In the event of a tie or ties, the highest dressage score will determine the winner, if there is still equality the highest WSP style mark will determine the winner.
SECTION A - DRESSAGE
BSPS Dressage Test No:- 7 will be used for classes 13A, 14A and 15A
copies are available from B.S.P.S. Head Office on receipt of S.A.E.
Bridles as per the BSPS Combined Training and Gold Cup Rule Book 2015.
SECTION B – WORKING SPORTS PONY
Maximum Height of Fences – OPEN HEIGHT
The Course will consist of a mixture of Rustic WHP and Cross Country style fences, water may be included. Ponies will be awarded a Mark out of 10 for their gallop.

SECTION C – SHOW JUMPING
ANY SUITABLE BRIDLE. MARTINGALES ARE PERMITTED
The Jumping section will be judged on one round, over coloured and or rustic fences. There will be an optimum time for the course and penalties will be incurred for exceeding this time.
There will be an alternative Fence and a BONUS MARK OF 10 will be awarded to competitors who successfully jump the alternative fence.
The competitor with the lowest amalgamated score from Sections A & B will jump first.
