BSNA INFORMATION PACK for 2018SEASON

To All Clubs, Schools and stand-alone teams, including intending new teams.

It is anticipated that the competition will comprise the following grades similar to last year (depending on final entries, further splits may be necessary).

Grade 3 (primary)

Grade 4 (primary)

Grade 5 (primary)

Grade 6A and 6B(primary)

13yrsUnder(13/A and 13/B)

Section 4

Section 3A & 3B & 3C

Section 2

Section 1A and 1B

Please note that up to 13/U is age or grade limited, whereas Sections 1,2,3 and 4 are open to players aged 18 and under (at 31 December 2018). The Association currently doesnotintend to hold a Grading Day for the 2018 season. Clubs should enter teams based on how they believe they should be graded – final grading decisions will occur over the first five weeks of competition, where draws will be adjusted to assist with grading decisions.

It is intended to continue with Sections 1A & 1B, Section 2, Section 3C and Section 4 on a Friday night, with all other Sections played on Saturdays. Please ensure that your team entries reflect the availability of players and coaches on a Friday night or Saturday.

With the Association continuing to grow quickly, it is important to ensure the Exec Officer is kept up to date with possible changes. Whilst all existing clubs are guaranteed their existing team numbers from the 2017 season, if you intend to increase team participation, early advice of additional teams and grades is paramount. It is intended that the following procedures and timelines will be followed:

  1. All outside clubs/teams proposing to transfer to the BSNA for 2018 must provide a written notificationof their intent, indicating team numbers and probable grades. The closing date for these applications is 31 December 2017.(Every effort will be made to accommodate these requests, but no guarantee of acceptance can be given however until all information is available).
  2. All existing clubs/teams proposing additional teams above their 2017 numbers must notify detail to the Exec Officer in writing by 31st December 2017. Additional teams after this date may be possible, but cannot be guaranteed a place.
  3. Note that full team detail such as player names and payments are not required until our Team Registration evenings in March 2018.
  4. Any clubs/stand alone teams in a position to submit general team entries earlier than Team Registration day would be most appreciated. Player names and payments are not needed until Registration day.

2018 FEES

The BSNA fee for 2018 is $120 per player for all Grades and Sections, except Grade 3, which is $110 per player. Please note that all players and coaches MUST have current registration via Netball Victoria’s MyNetball website prior to our team registration evenings in March, with appropriate detail shown on the team sheets.

It is the responsibility of all Clubs to ensure their players have current registration. The Association will generally NOT assist with player registrations. Netball Victoria registration fees have risen a further $2 for 2018 ($73 seniors; $53 juniors; $41 off-court). NetSetGo registration has risen to $60.

All clubs MUST have at least one registered user of MyNetball to ensure access to the online registration portal and registration template set-up area (BFNL development teams playing with the BSNA must have a separate log-in under the BSNA umbrella). Club IT Individual User Agreements need to be provided to the Exec Officer in the first instance to allow connection to MyNetball for new users. The form is included in this Information Pack.

This information pack provides all the important forms needed to register for 2018. Please find attached the following:

A typed copy of the Team Entry Form is preferable please.

NOTE that these dates are the closing dates for team entries – if you are in a position to email team detail (including team names) prior to this it would be greatly appreciated.

ALL LISTED PLAYERS MUST BE FULLY FINANCIAL AT THE TIME OF SUBMITTING TEAM SHEETS. A Statement of payment will be issued to all clubs.

Any new players to be added to teams after the registration evenings MUST be formally notified to the Exec Officer by email and fully paid for and entered into MyNetball before they will be added to team sheets.

The only hand-written entries allowed on score sheets this year will be for players issued with a day pass or fill-ins from lower grades (in both cases, a valid day pass receipt number or a ‘Q’ (for qualifying the player from a lower team) must also be written on the score sheet).
