ALL SCHOOL:

·  Lyndhurst Home Days will take place on September 8th, 9th, & 10th at Lyndhurst Park! We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the students who will be volunteering during Lyndhurst Home Days Weekend to represent Brush High School. Please remember participating will be applied to your Community Service. Stop by any of our offices to pick up a Community Service form. Once Home Days concludes, you may see Mrs. Sanford in the principal’s office or Ms. Ball in the guidance office to sign and turn in your forms. We are excited to have students to assist for the weekend and to march with Superintendent Reid in the parade on Sunday, September 10th!(9/8)

·  Blue Emergency Cards For all students who have yet to turn in your card, please have your parents complete both sides of the Blue Emergency Card and return it to Mrs. Jamieson or Mrs. Sanford in the office, as soon as possible.(9/8)

·  Student Congress has voted, and the Homecoming song will be "Neon Lights" by Demi Lovato. Auditions for the Homecoming song and The National Anthem will be held with Ms. Ballou in the Choir room on September 18, 2017, from 3:15-4:15, and September 19, 2017, from 4:15-5:15. Sign-up sheets will be up and available on August 31, 2017, outside C109. ( 9/19)

Homecoming 2017 is right around the corner. Tickets for the event can be purchased on EZ pay through the district website. The first 200 students who purchase tickets on EZ pay will be entered into a raffle to win a full refund for their homecoming ticket and their date's homecoming ticket. Instructions for this process can be found in the Homecoming Informational Packet. A copy of this packet was sent to your student email. Please see Mr. Agrast or Mrs. Jamieson if you have questions. Homecoming Court applications must be submitted by September 22, 2017.

·  Attention to all students applying to the National Honor Society: Applications are due TODAY, Thursday, September 7th, by 3:00PM to the Attendance Office. No exceptions!!!(9/7)

·  Attention Brush students: The Soundsation Show Choir NEEDS members for both Band and crew. Band members, we neeeeeed you! We're seeking talented drummers, trumpet and saxophone players and trombone. If you have an interest, please see Miss. Ballou. Soundsation cannot function without a band: You're an important part of our competition season.(9/7)

·  Attention All-Academic Team Members! REMINDER!!! Academic Team is having its FIRST MEETING TONIGHT after school in Mrs. Fearer's room, D214. Come join our team! Goodies will be served! (9/7)

·  The French Club will be hosting A "grape juice and French cheese-tasting" Event! When? Friday, September 8 @ 3:15. Where: B-03. Please see Madame Thornton for the details before Thursday, September 7th. Vive la France!(9/7)

·  Class of 2021- Please read your e-mails daily! There is news you can use being shared each day via email from your school counselor. Read your emails daily so you don't miss out.(9/11)

·  Chess Club after school today and each Thursday:

Time: 3:20 pm - 4:30 pm

For students who are interested in joining the Chess Club, see either Mr. Morgan or Mr. Jackson.

·  The Maltz Museum scholarships! Share your personal story about standing up against hate, and you could win scholarship money. The Maltz Museum will be awarding scholarships ranging from $400 to $10,000 to winners of their “Stop the Hate!” essay contest.(9/7)

·  The South Euclid-Lyndhurst library is hosting a two-session workshop for students to brainstorm, share ideas, start writing, and submit to the contest. Bring your ideas and an appetite for pizza. The sessions will take place Monday, September 11th and Monday, September 18th at 4:30. Please register at cuyahogalibrary.org, or by calling the South Euclid-Lyndhurst library at 216-382-4880.

·  Student of the Month for August 2017 -We take this opportunity to recognize and congratulate our August 2017 Students of the month! Our students of the month will receive a certificate of recognition and a gift card! See Mrs. Sanford tomorrow, Friday, September 8th before school, during lunch, or after school to pick them up. Also, your names will scroll on our marquee that sits on Mayfield Road starting tomorrow.
