ThisNEW training aimed at teachers, school staff and education professionals will explore the Pupil Premium Plus landscape and provide new and innovative ways of utilising the resource. The PAC-UK Education Team will provide examples of good practice and look at how schools can meet the emotional, social and educational needs of adopted, looked after and permanently placed children. Advice will be given on how to engage with parents and carers about PP+ and we will look at the impact of effective interventions on children.

Pupil Premium Plus: how to spend it wisely
A training day for schools and education professionals including virtual school staff

The day aims to support schools in meeting these emotional, social and educational needs through spending time looking at the following areas:

  • Engaging with parents and carers about PP+
  • Improving uptake of self-declaration & managing confidentiality
  • Strategic organisation of support in schools e.g making the best of your resources
  • Planning and delivery of evidence-informed interventions
We will explore examples of good practice and look at how other schools have used the money to meet the needs of looked after and permanently placed children as well as exploring new and innovative ways of ustilising pupil premium plus.
