·  Senior Art Show Please stop by the library to vote for your favorite artists exhibited in the Senior Art show. The awards ceremony is Thursday April 16th at 6pm and is free and open to everyone. Please join us and cheer on our Senior artists!(4/16)

·  The Brush Musical: Did you love or even missed seeing the blockbuster movie, Into The Woods? Well, this weekend you will have the opportunity to see Brush Drama Club's spring musical, the stage production of “Into The Woods.”

o  Performances in the Brush PAC are Friday and Saturday, April 17th and 18th at 7:30 p.m. and a Matinee on Sunday, April 19 at 2:30 p.m.

o  Ticket prices are $10 for adults and only $6 for students, children and senior citizens.

o  Tickets for South Euclid Lyndhurst Brown and Gold card holders are free.

Tickets not sold prior to performance dates will be available for sale, in the lobby, one hour prior to the show.

·  Attention students interested in Sounsdation Show Choir for the 2015/2016 school year: there will be an informational meeting this Friday, April 17th from 3:15-4:00pm in the choir room. You will receive audition information, as well as other information about the commitment during the school year. See you there!(4/17)

·  The GSA would like everyone to be aware of the April 17th National Day of Silence. The Day of Silence is a day of action in which students across the country vow to take a form of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools. The GSA will sell badges during lunch periods and in the library with the pledge for those students who wish to participate. Help us bring attention to the need to respect everyone!(4/15)

·  The Kick-It Kickball Tournament Attention 9th, 10th and 11th graders. On May 18th brush will be holding a kickball tournament on Korb Field during 7th and 8th periods as part of a fundraiser for the Kick-It for Pediatric Cancer Organization. The Kick-It Organization raises money to help pediatric cancer research. You can help with the fundraiser by donating money in several ways. During your lunch periods on Tuesday and Thursdays, the Freshman, Sophomore and Junior class officers will be selling kick it bracelets for $2 and buttons for $1. You may buy as many as you want. Every Time you donate you will write your name on one of the paper kick balls that will then be hung up in the showcases in the cafeteria. You can then select a teacher who you would like to see play in the kickball tournament on the teachers team. The winning student team will then take on the top 12 vote getters.

Our goal is to donate more than $1000. We currently have a little over 200. Students, let's hit our goal and even try to surpass it by showing our support for this great organization and wonderful cause. If you have any further questions please see the class officers or Mr. Berenson in the A Wing Office area.(4/30)

·  Yearbook: Are you interested in creating a piece of history? Do you like to talk to new people or take pictures of the action? Maybe you should join the yearbook staff! The week of April 20, interested students may sign up for an interview time by seeing Mrs. Strainic in room B04. Good grades, good attendance, and a sample of your work will also be considered.(4/21)

·  Attention Junior Class It is time to submit design ideas for our senior shirt. Submit designs to Yehosef Brown, Chanell Petit, Taylor Hurt, Hallie Letezio, or Mr. Jacquet's mail box. Designs must be turned in by April 17th."(4/16)

·  So you think you can dance? If so, Arcette Pre-audition workshops will run April 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th, & 16th after school in the Brush Cafe. The fee is $5 per clinic. Get the inside scoop on what to expect at Auditions and Learn some of the choreography beforehand. Auditions are April 21-24th from 6-9pm. Email for more info or stop by the Arcettes Showcase near the cafe to grab a flyer. (4/16)

·  SENIORS: As of today, the “Senior Class Important Information Booklet” has been updated. The updated booklet is now “GREEN”. The Green Booklet is to make sure you are reading the current information. You will find updated information regarding fees and other items of interest that lead to Commencement Day! Please stop in the Principal’s Office for a new copy. Mrs. Sanford has also sent a copy to your email. PLEASE SHARE THE BOOKLET and THE UPDATES WITH YOUR PARENTS!

o  If you are following the timeline of your booklet the next Important Date is the Senior Class Meeting on

Thursday, April 16th at 8:10am in the PAC. Please do not miss this meeting! There are some updates that will be crucial to the weeks going forward as we approach Commencement Day!

Also the following is a list of your new fee deadlines:

§  April 17th for Students on Senior Project

§  April 24th for Cosmetology Students

§  May 8th for the entire 12th Grade Class

o  Keep in mind …Fees that are not paid, will prevent you from participating in the Commencement and getting your diploma. Keep up with your dates, you must read your booklet! Save the dates on the calendar in your phone and be knowledgeable of your events!(4/16)\

SPORTS:

·  Track On Saturday the boys and girls track and field teams participated in the Nordonia Relays at Nordonia High School. Junior Jai Dixon won the boys 110 meter high hurdles. The boys 4 x 800 meter relay of Joshua Pope, Greg Lamontia, Micheal Baio, and Cameron Hill finished third. Austin Scott placed fourth in the boys 100 meters. He teamed up with Jai Dixon, Christian Wright, and Teondre Reynolds for fourth and fifth place finishes in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 meter relays respectively. Aysa Reynolds had the best high jump and long jump efforts of the day and finished second in the girls 100 meter hurdles. She joined Kiera Debase, Ariel Debase, and Asia Hicks on the 4 x400 meter relay team that finished second. The girls’ 4 x 200 meter relay of Kiera Debase, Aliah Hunter, Ariel Debase, and Jasmyne Allen finished first. Congratulations.(4/13)
