Mike Berman, Rotary Club of Ascot asked if our club could contribute $5,000 again this year towards the Bakita water project. To be discussed at another meeting after the Dragon Boats.
Dragon Boats: The information session for teams was held at Town Beach
New score board made up. Thanks Tony and Helen at EDL.
The boats are ready, the crews are ready and the Rotarians are ready! It’s all systems go! All the jobs have been allocated and equipment and stock bought.
George Manning ABC Northwest will be getting live updates on DB Regatta day from yours truly (Richard, I’ve a good face for radio, Baker)
Jenny Kitchen told us about foot health in the Kimberley and the causes and consequences; loss of toes, feet and legs due to poor health and conditions. She told us of a scheme to collect shoes to distribute around the Region. This seemed a very easy project to follow through on.
Ian from Karrinyup rotary club gave us an update on the “Ear Bus” and its progress. He asked if our club could donate $5,000 to buy an item of equipment.
