BROCKLESBY TRIATHLON – 20th NOVEMBER 2011

The junior girl section consisted of Sophie Pedlar and Lucy Scholl. The mini boys section consisted of Tristan Goldstein and George Goodson and the mini girls section consisted of Sophie Skelton and Emily Goodson.

First was the shooting element. Tristan, Emily and Sophie Skelton, amazingly all got the same score for the shooting which was a very commendable 840 out of 1000! With George closely behind with 780.

The next element was the swimming where all 6 did well, holding their own against stiff competition.

Last was the running which was hard as the fog was so bad they could hardly see the markers in the distance marking the course out. But they all emerged from the fog with smiles on their faces – I think that was because they could finally see the finish line!

Despite the weather everyone did really well and enjoyed themselves, which is the main thing.

The junior girls – Sophie P and Lucy came 1st in a mixed pony club team with Sophie Pedlar coming 4th individually and Lucy 10th individually.

The mini boys – Tristan and George came 1st in a mixed pony club team with Tristan coming 4th individually and George 8th individually.

George also was in the 9 and under where he came 3rd individually.

The mini girls – Sophie Skelton and Emily came 4th in a mixed pony club team with Sophie 6th individually and Emily 15th individually.

These are really good fun competitions to take part in and it’s a great way to get to know other members, as everyone mucks in and supports each other on the day.

If you would like to have a go at competing in the next one there is going to be a fun Christmas Triathlon which is on the 27th December at Bingham Leisure Centre. If you really want to have a laugh you can also watch the parents have a go! As there is a class for the “past members” too! So watch out parents I will be getting names for that one!!
