- Understand pharmacologic properties of direct oral anticoagulants targeting thrombin or factor Xa in contrast to warfarin
- Become familiar with the clinical trial data underlying approval as well aspost-marketing performanceof the direct oral anticoagulants for the prevention and treatment and treatment of thrombosis
- Analyze challenges in the adoption of direct oral anticoagulants that do not require routine laboratory monitoring as opposed to warfarin.
- Describe the evaluation and diagnosis of MGUS and Multiple Myeloma.
- Discuss the treatment options for MGUS and Multiple Myeloma
- Recognize which patients should be referred for breast cancer genetic testing.
- Understand how to assess a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer
- Understand current guidelines for breast cancer screening
- Understand strategies for decreasing breast cancer risk
- Discuss case presentations of Vitamin B-12 deficiencies and the recommended treatments.
