Results from the first year’s dairy cow experiments were incorporated into the Institute’s display ‘Legumes for milk production’ at the European Dairy Farming Event (Stoneleigh; 22-23 September, 1999). The stand was runner-up for the ‘Prince Phillip Award’ for technical exhibits. At the same event IGER also assisted MDC in the presentation of Alternative Forage Crops on their stand which was awarded the main prize for the “Prince Phillip Award” for technical merit.
