WORKSHOP PROPOSAL – Proposal form

The British Fascia Symposium

12-13 May 2018

St Johns Hotel, Solihull, near Birmingham, UK

The aim of the BFS is to present an event which enlightens, informs and educates delegates and interests them in the world of fascia. We aim for an impartial event bringing the many and varied aspects of fascia to the delegates without imparting a sense of division or competition. We trust you will ensure that you reflect a positive attitude to other fascial applications apart from your own.

Guidelines for your workshop:

You cannotmake claims of fact where there is no scientific evidence or support from research.

You can offer insight, suggestions or ideas from hypothesis and your own experience, however youMUST make it clear when these are not evidence- or research-based.

Workshops at the BFS arepracticalsessions, not lecture-based, and they aim to provide a taster of a variety of modalities (hands-on), or movement classes. The delegates want to acquire some skills/knowledge that they can incorporate into their clinical work/daily lives, and although this may then lead to them booking up to one of your courses in the future, feedback from previous events has shown that they do not appreciate teachers who constantly promote themselves and their courses instead of focusing on the practical teaching of a workshop. This is your chance to showcase your modality or approach to a group of delegates that is extremely interested in fascial work; let your work speak for itself. You will be introduced by one of our Hosts and, at the end of the workshop, they will direct students to your stand (if you have one) or promote your courses/books etc. on your behalf.

Submitting your proposal:

Please complete the following proposal form and return it by email before Friday 21st July. Unfortunately, due to the amount of received submissions, we cannot consider any proposal received later than this date.

Once your workshop proposal has been received, you will receive an email acknowledgement of your submission. If you do not receive this acknowledgement within one week of submission, please contact the BFS directly.
