Brief of the Project:
The Project “Four Laning of Bijapur-Hungund Section of NH-50 from Km.225.800 to Km.323.012 (Old Chainage from Km 102.00 to Km 202.000 of NH-13) in the State of Karnataka [herein after called Project Highway] was taken up on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (“DBFOT”) Toll Basis under NHDP Phase III (Package No: NHDP-III/BOT/KNT/05).
The Letter of Award (LOA) was issued to M/s. Sadbhav Engineering Ltd & M/s. Montecarlo Construction Ltd Consortium (SEL-MCL) vide NHAI letter no. NHAI/BOT/11012/PPPAC/KNT/05/208/20, dated 8th February 2010. The Concession Agreement was signed between NHAI and the SPV, M/s. Bijapur-Hungund Toll way Pvt. Ltd., (B-HTPL) on 9th March 2010. NHAI has declared Appointed Date on 5th September, 2010 with Concession period of 20 years.
The Bijapur-Hungund four lane project starts from Km 225.800 near Bijapur city and ends at Km 323.012 near Hungund town and the project highway is passing through the towns / villages viz. Hittanahalli, Managuli, Muttagi, Golasangi, Basawan Bagewadi, Nidagundi, Almatti-Bagalkot junction, Nagarhalla, Devalapur, Kudalsangam - Bagalkot junction & Hungund.
The total length of the project highway is 97.220 Kms & the project highway is passing through Bijapur & Bagalkot Districts.
NHAI has appointed M/s Lion Engineering Consultants, Bhopal as Independent Engineer during “Operation & Maintenance and fee collection of 4 lane divided carriageway facility of Bijapur – Hungund Section of NH-13 from Km 102.000 to Km 202.000(New Chainage from Km.225.800 to Km. 323.012 of NH-50) in the State of Karnataka on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (“DBFOT”) Basis through a Concessionaire (Package No. Kar/O&M/IC-1/2012-13)” vide Consultancy Contract agreement dated 30th July, 2013. M/s Lion Engineering Consultants have mobilized at site and commenced the services with effect from 1st August, 2013.
