She published ten collections of poetry, including narrative verse: Triumph of the Waterwitch (Bloodaxe, UK), short-listed for the Sir Weidenfeld Prize, Oxford and presented under British Foreign Office program on extension Europe (Cambridge, 2004). Bilingual editions (Romanian-English): Fool’s Triumph, translated by Georgiana Farnoaga and Sharon King, Ed. Paralela 45, 2000). 41 and Escalator; Dragon Kites Over the Mountain (Romanian, Catalan, English) English versions by Adam Sorkin with the author. Volumes in English: Lifeline as a Skyscraper, Vinea Press, 2006; online: Omnivorous syllables ( 2006. Translations from her poetry published extensively in the USA and in Great Britain, Greece, Sweden, Ireland, Israel etc., where she also had readings and performances. She translated, i.a., from H. Auden, A. Ginsberg, Dana Gioia, Andrei Codrescu, Fiona Sampson; Tomas Transtromer; Joseph Conrad. She has extensively cooperated with Adam J. Sorkin in translating contemporary Romanian poetry into English, and also worked with Sean Cotter and Carrie Messenger on literary translations from the Romanian. Her most recent volumes of poetry in translation: Amir Or, Sa te vorbim pe tine, (Romanian-Hebrew bilingual edition); Fiona Sampson, Distanta dintre noi (Romanian-English bilingual edition) and Nicolae Tzone, Balkan Aphrodite (English translation with Sean Cotter) – all of them at the Vinea Press; and Andrei Codrescu: Era ieri (from: It Was Today - translated into Romanian with Carmen Firan), Romanian Cultural Institute Press.

Multimedia events in New York, Washington (with Dinu Ghezzo), Bucharest (with Saviana Stanescu), Brasov, Constanta: The Lens of a Dewdrop, a videopoem (visuals-music Tom Brandus & Adrian Tabacaru, premiered NY, 2004); Aeneas, a multimedia cycle with American composers Dinu Ghezzo, Peter McCulloch, John Gilbert and Tom Beyer. The Life Line as a Skyscraper, with the NYU Multimedia Composers’ Orchestra (Romanian Cultural Institute NY, 2006).

She was program director, Fulbright Commission, Bucharest and Romania’s Cultural Attache to Washington DC (1992-96). Cultural journalist, editor; member of the Writers’ Guild and of the PEN Club in Romania.
