REVIEW OF ACTION ITEMS
Action Items from October 24, 2011:
Action Item: BAL Theatre Arts Society account set-up and signing authority
- Melissa Pattison has met with a Servus Credit Union Rep and set up an account; Maureen Wood-Engerdahl and Sue Guebert to go in and complete signing authority.
- Maureen Wood-Engerdahl to call and make an appointment at the Servus Credit Union to complete signing authority and follow up with Sue Guebert (Action Item)
Action Item: Amended Bylaws & Special Resolutions
- Corporate Registries will not rewrite our bylaws with the special resolution – our special resolution will just be ‘added to the file’
Action Item: Business Plan team meeting update
- Lorraine MacKay and Gwen Holden have been out of town
- Don Engerdahl and Joan Melvin haven’t had the chance to get together yet
- Melissa Pattison will be included in the financial part of the business plan
- Perhaps a scheduled meeting plan; each working on their own items and then come together; perhaps a Saturday, full-day session and work on everything
- Don Engerdahl to organize a working day for Business Plan with Lorraine MacKay, Gwen Holden, Joan Melvin (Action Item)
NEW BUSINESS
- United Way/BAL Charity Gala – December 17th, 2011
- Decorating Team – Room Décor, centerpieces & table décor
- United Way will spend the day at The Hinton Centre setting up tables and chairs, etc
- BAL will set up stage and curtains, table décor
FOH/Tickets – Michelle/Sue/Melissa
Sound Techs – Don/Cody
Stage Set-up – Don/Cody/Caleb
Silent Auction – Lorraine
Friday, December 16th – 7:00pm – 10:00pm (set-up)
Saturday, December 17th – 12:00pm (decorating, etc)/Tech rehearsal (1:00-3:00pm)
6:30pm – Cocktails
7:00-8:00pm – Dinner
8:00-8:30pm – BAL performances
8:30-8:30pm – Comedians
9:30pm – Dance
- Fundraising Workshop (host – Volunteer Alberta) – December 7, 2011
- Don Engerdahl and Joan Melvin will attend
- Gwen Holden had a fundraising idea:
- in speaking with Lisa Higgerty, Gwen found out that BAL might be able to work a
bingo at the Friendship Centre, one Friday per month, with a possibility of earning
$900-$1500 per month; you have to have seed $ to sell bingo cards
- Lisa Higgerty also offered to help out with grant applications
iii. 3P Performing Arts Facility Update
- no update at this time
- blue prints from the Town has changed; basement was eliminated and the orientation
of the building has turned
CORRESPONDENCE
- the contract for the February 2012 show was double booked; BAL will find another location
