What is it?

The 2017 East Midlands School Improvement is an annual conference for school leaders dedicated to building capacity that supports the development of a school-led improvement system.

2017 Conference – Investing in your workforce will be attended by 250+ system leaders, including Headteachers, Specialist Leaders of Educations, Local and National Leaders of Education as well as National Leaders of Governance.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Recently appointed Regional School Commissioner, John Edwards and Chris Wheatley, Teaching School Council Representative
  • Sir Andrew Carter, leader of the 2015 review of teaching training
  • Dame Alison Peacock, Chief Executive of the Chartered College of Teaching
  • Winner of the Best Leader and Best Companies to Work for, Sunday Times – Jason Stockwood, Simply Business.

The conference will build networks across the region, support the development of a locally led system and encourage cross partnership working.

Why sponsor or exhibit?

Becoming a sponsor or exhibitor at the East Midlands School Conference ensures that your brand is prominently marketed to over 250 system leaders and decision makers from nursery through to secondary and special schools.

Exhibitions will be in the main room with the delegates, so there will be a number of opportunities to network and market your products and services. Where space allows, exhibitors will be encouraged to seat themselves amongst delegates during the conference.

Overview of the participants at the 2016 conference:

Teaching School Directors/Leads – 15%

Headteachers – 65%

Deputy Headteachers, Senior Leaders - £5%

Governors – 5%

Local Authority Representatives – 10%

All providers will be pro-actively promoted as part of the marketing of the conference via a range of social media as well as targeted emails to participants and through the website.

Exhibitions are becoming a key aspect of the conference and the providers approached are by direct request of the Steering Group as those who we feel will be of particular interest to the region.
