Braintree DistrictHealth and WellbeingPanel Grant 2017/18

Byputtinghealthandwellbeing atthecentreofeverythingwedo,theHealthandWellbeingPanel willworkwithpartnerstohelpimprovethehealth andwellbeingofourcommunitiesasawhole.Wewilltargetareasofhealthinequalitiessoastoenableresidentstoleadhappier,healthyandfulfillinglives. Priorities have been identified by the Panel based on information gathered from the Public Health Health Profiles for the Braintree District and Essex Insight’s, Local Authority Portrait.

These are:

  • Obesity
  • Frailty (Agewell)

Bids…………

  • Must reflect one or more of the aims and objectives of the Braintree District Health and Wellbeing Panel’s priorities.
  • Must be started within two months of the award and a quarterly report must be given to the Braintree District Council’s Health and Wellbeing Programme Manager. Format to be agreed with the programme manager.
  • Can be considered as part of a joint bid across Mid Essex (Braintree, Chelmsford and Maldon) to achieve economy of scale.
  • Can be for small or large amounts to include capital and/or revenue projects and can be for new projects, or existing ones that may need additional funding.
  • From £1000 - £5000 will be considered and match funding from the applicant would be favourably considered in the shortlisting process.
  • Applications need to be submitted by 30th April 2017. There will be a three week shortlisting and decision process,after which time grants will be awarded to successful applicants.All unsuccessful applicants will also be advised of the outcome.
