I hope everyone had a happy New Year, I thought that the New Year party was a great time for all that came. We have several things coming up in the next few months and I would like to see them attended by our new and old members also if you would like bring a guest. A lot of these guests in one way or another could become family members of Post 62 either by becoming Legionnaire, SAL or Aux. member. The more the merrier and with new members comes new ideas. Watch the newsletters and watch for postings in the Post. If you have some ideas address them to Squid, Rob, any E-Board member or myself. You could just leave a note behind the bar in an envelope. Let’s support our active servicemen and women and all Veterans that have served our great country.

Tim Velarde, Commander

Junior News: The Jr meeting will be Sun. Feb. 3 at 3 pm. We will be making snack treats for the VA Birthday Party and we will be going over the rules for the Poppy Poster Contest and the Contest for the Jr Aux Convention cover. There is going to be Kids BINGO Fri. 29, 6-8pm. Everyone is invited to bring one friend with them for the meeting and for the Bingo. We need to build up our ACTIVE JR group. We could do so much more for our community and our Veterans. I would also like to hear from Parents, what they would like to see us do with our Jrs and any ideas of what we can do to keep, not only our Kid, but those interested and active as well. Any and All ideas are greatly appreciated. We will go doing some fund raising projects for the Jr group so they can have another campout and fieldtrip. All of your participation either in selling or donating is appreciated also. Rhonda Lurty
