-Baby Rebel Pictures are Due Friday, October 30th. The cost is $50.00.

-The Advocate-Messenger is now featuring articles from both DHS and BCHS in the A section of the paper every Monday. The schools are alternating weeks. The Web Journalism's first publication with Mr. Wade setting the tone for our theme for the year—“A Different Kind of Rebel”

-BCHS will host a Blood Drive in the gym on Dec. 14th. All students who give blood will get a free t-shirt and be entered in a drawing for a $25 I-Tunes gift card. You must be 16 with parent permission or 18 without to give blood. See Ms. Brosi to sign up.

-The Drama Dept. will present its play for the semester, Be My Ghost, on October 28th and 29th, at the Ragged Edge Community Theater in Harrodsburg. Admission is $5 for the general public, or $3 for anyone who wears a scaryHalloween costume to the show!

SPORTS

-Congratulations to the Cheerleaders for their winning performance in the Large Division at the KHSAA 12th Region Cheerleading Competition on Sunday. The Cheer Team advances to the KHSAA State Competition on Saturday, December 12th at the Altech Arena in Georgetown, Kentucky. Admission is $10.00

REMINDERS:

-Reminder: Tardy Procedure - (page 8 of the student handbook). Students that drive to school will lose their parking privileges for 5 school days on the 3rd offense, rest of the semester on the 4th offense, and the rest of the school year on the 5th offense.

-Reminder: If a student has more than 5 unexcused absences they will lose their overnight privilege with their chrome books. Mrs. Bodner asks that students please turn in their notes to the front office upon the day of return to school.

-Students are not permitted to bring in or have delivered to them fast food during school hours. (Student Handbook; page 10)

-Chromebook User Policy for Students from page 23 under General Rules of Conduct for Students Using Chromebooks item 5 states-The administration reserves the right to confiscate student Chromebooks and suspend student use of the device at any time. After 5 unexcused absences in a semester (or less by recommendation of Principal/DPP), students may be relegated to Day User status until regular attendance is established.

GUIDANCE

Governors School for the Arts Prep Workshop information is available in the Guidance Office.

-Sullivan/Spencerian College ACT review sessions held the Saturday and Sunday prior to the National ACT test date. All students will receive 4 hour of ACT preparation in English and Reading and 4 hours of ACT preparation in Math and Science. Lunch will be provided. There is a cap of 80 students per weekend. The cost for both days is $80.00. Lunch and study guide with CD are included. -Future ACT Prep Dates: Dec. 5th – 6th, 2015 from 10:00AM until 2:30PM 10:00AM until 2:30PM. CLUBS

HOSA is collecting small items, toys, socks, etc for Operation Christmas Child to be given to children in parts of the world especially to the Syrian refugees. Please give them to any HOSA member or Mrs. Carney by Thursday.

Forensics practice will be Tuesdays and Thursdaysin the Library from 3:15 to 4:45.

PEP CLUB still has $10 BIG REBEL NATION tees in YS-AXL for only $10 each. We have limited quantities of 2X for $12. We also have "Love Me Some Rebel Football" long sleeves for $15.
