* Program hours are from 7:30 a.m. until 2:15 p.m. Staff will be on duty at 7:15 a.m. until 2:20 p.m. Being on time is an expected part of the program for successful completion. Students must be picked up by 2:15 p.m.

* The student is expected to follow all district, school, and classroom rules while in the Alternative to Suspension Program. Random searches and electronic scanning may occur when students enter the building.

* The student will receive full academic and attendance credit for successful completion of the Alternative to Suspension Program.

* Breakfast is provided.

* Lunch will be provided from B.G.Jr.High School.

* Dress code requirements are to be followed at all times:

Shirts-Every shirt MUST be tucked in at all times. No crop tops, tank tops, belly shirts, see-through or sleeveless shirts. Students will not be allowed to wear an unbuttoned, untucked outer shirt.

Pants- NO sagging pants. Pants must be kept above the hipbone at all times. Shorts will be allowed only if they are not sagging. They should be approximately knee length.NO intentional holes in pants above the knee will be allowed.Girls may wear capris with tucked in shirts. Pants’ legs must be pushed down at all times.

Skirts- Skirts must be at least knee length.

Jackets Coats, and Hats- all jackets, coats, coveralls, and hats must be left in the designated area upon arrival at the school. If the student wears a hooded sweatshirt, the hood may not be worn at any time during the day.

Shoes- No flip-flops, or house shoes.

Accessories- No jewelry or accessories. No hairbrushes, picks, or combs are allowed in the classroom. Backpacks, book bags and purses, as well as all other personal items must be left in a designated area at the school.

Other Information- Clothing or personal possessions with offensive writing, signs, or symbols) including gang, cult, drug-related, or guns) will not be allowed and may be confiscated.

The Alternative to Suspension Program school day will include:

1) Academic work time

*Failure to comply with the dress code or any directive of the teachers in the Alternative to Suspensions Program could result in

1) Suspension from the Alternative to Suspension Program;

or 2) Referral to The Academy at 11th Street;

or 3) Referral to the Bowling Green Board of Education.
