Abner B. Rosenfield Award for Outstanding Scholarship and Citizenship
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Abner B. Rosenfield Scholarship was developed from an endowment to Borough of Manhattan Community College by Abner B. Rosenfield. The scholarship of $1,000 is awarded annually to a member of the graduating class who demonstrates scholarship and outstanding citizenship. The award is made at the college's Annual Honors Convocation.
INSTRUCTIONS
Submit a complete scholarship packet to the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Room S-343, by April 9, 2009, Thursday at 5:00 p.m., EST.
A complete packet includes:
· Application form, typed or printed
· A one page typed essay addressing the criteria of the scholarship, long range objectives and human service
· Two letters of recommendation, at least one from a BMCC faculty or staff member on a BMCC letterhead.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
· Must have minimum G.P.A. of 3.5
· Must be a member of the 2009 graduating class
· Must show evidence of contribution to the college community
· Must who evidence of service to community at large
· Must demonstrate the ability to communicate your ideas effectively
