This one-week, intensive, hands-on course is for professional-technical faculty who have limited or no teaching experience. Experienced instructors/facilitators will introduce and model essential components of classroom management, adult learning, and facilitating skills*. Emphasis will be on practical and real life applications. This course is not intended to take the place of the Professional-Technical Education (PTE) Methods of Teaching Courses- Level I & II.

  • Washington State Skills Standard for Professional-Technical Instructors and Industry Trainers:

A. Manage the Learning Environment; B. Develop Outcomes, Assessments, and Curricula; and D. Provide Student Instruction.
